To quote Carly Simon from The Spy Who Loved Me: "Nobody Does It Better". Even w/o Malcolm and Phil Rudd, they sound so tight and incredible. Also a nice mix of tunes spanning their entire catalogue.Rock on fella's \m/

Oh, to have been there, watching so many hipster's faces melting off, the tips of their mustaches uncurling, their beards parting from the sheer force of the decibels blowing through their gauged earlobes which were flapping in the breeze as they saw their girlfriends, some of them hearing REAL Rock & Roll played by REAL Men for the first time, screaming like teenagers during the Beatle's performance on The Ed Sullivan Show! A Rock & Roll Epiphany of the Highest Order!

p.s. 20 songs! Amazing Sound Quality. First Class performance with special kudos to Angus! And note every grunt and "Ha! emanating from Brian Johnson's mouth. Prepare to be blown away!

They really did bring it incredibly hard that night. Don't hate me too much, but i actually got a lossless copy of the show from the guy who taped it. Reading reviews of the show has proven very interesting. Most reviews have been very positive. the one notable exception was written by a blogger for the LA Times. the problem with his review is that he faults AC/DC basically for being who they are. He finds their whole act irrelevant in 2015. He writes, "How many redundant guitar solos is your average 20-something willing endure? Not many, especially when DJ Alesso was offering a more contemporary brand of musical bombast than the one happening on the main stage -- and without the inflatable Rosie." If today's 20-somethings would prefer to watch a DJ than actual musicians playing actual instruments, then there is no hope for the world.

"I hope you guys like rock 'n' roll because that's all we do," said singer Brian Johnson

Indeed, GNR... THAT was the standout line for me, also noted in a terrific review of the show in The New York Times.

I read that same review in The L.A. Times yesterday, as well, Bob. If you listen to that audience roar on this recording or watched their performance opening this year's Grammys, believe me, you know, when it comes to AC/DC, the majority of 20 year olds in the crowd are Rockin' plenty hard to them, and for 20 songs, no less!

There's just two things that would have made this concert even more amazing, if that's possible... "Problem Child" and "Ballbreaker"!!!

Now, Bob, friends share their toys. You gonna hand out a couple of copies of that lossless magic?

I kid. But that is a treat. You are a lucky guy.

No Ward = No AC/DC! I kid again. But these guys do what they do and do it--now more than in the past few years--better than well. Kudos to them. And Klaus Kinski ain't too shabby on guitar either.

At a festival as diverse as Coachella, it is nice to see this sort of music represented. Rather than sticking out, they fit in and expand the whole point of hanging out on a hot slab in the middle of the desert.

Next agenda item: a reunion of The Firm. Slade still hits the kit with precision (and fast too, as per Angus's request/directions). 68 and still bringing it.
