House Of Lords Release New Video

House of Lords just premiered a video for the track "Go to Hell." The band's new album, Indestructible, comes out June 7th via Frontiers. House of Lords isn't a band we usually talk about here... what do you think?

HOLY SH*T!!!

Yes, it's signature Frontiers earmark style and production. Yes, it's AOR Pomp of the highest order but it also frickin' TOTALLY ROCKS!

THIS is THE BEST THING I've heard all year, thus far, I sh*t thee not!

Even though I've got EVERY CD by these dudes, I've never been a total fanboy by any stretch of the imagination.

However, this may very well be one of their best songs ever!

The kick a*s guitar punctuating all the vocals is the tip off to the oncoming solo which is TOTALLY Insane!!! Stick it out to witness the majesty of kickas*sedness to which I am referring. Stunning!

glad to see some love being shown for these guys. they are AOR that doesn't suck! Metalboy!, my friend, would you agree that, in the power ballad genre, "Remember My Name" is way up there in terms of goodness? I'm not usually a fan of power ballads, but I love that one.

Wow. The production value of making a video in an actual warehouse...must be absolutely stunning. A big no mas to this song and band, btw!

Well, boyz, after I listened to that solo like 5 more times, loving the "punch in" and the lickety split guitar pyrotechnics that immediately ensues, plus how killer the way it's filmed, Go-Pro strapped to the machine head, I will now list the highlights of the House of Lords collection on my iTunes, many dispersed throughout my playlists...

1) "Wanna Be Loved"
2) "Can't Find My Way Home"
3) "Hold Back The Night"
4) "First To Cry"
5) "Talkin' 'Bout Love"
6) "Down, Down, Down"
7) "Metallic Blue"
8) "Inside You"
9) "Johnny's Got A Mind Of His Own"
10) "Lookin' For Strange"
11) "Love Don't Lie"
12) "Hearts Of The World"
13) "Heart On The Line"
14) "Laydown Staydown"
15) "It Ain't Love"

p.s. Bob... I'll check out "Remember My Name". As far as Powerballads go, I consider "Wanna Be Loved" to be their best but I may have walked into a Stryperesque hornet's nest as some might not consider that to be a Powerballad, per se. Hey, what can I tell ya, my rule is basically, if it's got the word "love" in the title, I generally consider it a contender.

And I will check out this album, as well.

"Remember My Name", IMHO, is pretty unique as powerballads go. the guy in the song finds out that his ex is now dating someone else when he hears the guy dedicate a song to her on the radio. What follows seems to be an emotional rollercoaster of lament mixed with anger. It's not a love song, and it's not just a breakup song filled with sap. It still resonates with me 25 years later. Great stuff.

Checked out "Remember My Name", Bob. But "I Wanna Be Loved" tops ANYTHING in their catalog.

Rita! That will be our song when you make the great escape and we rendezvous at The Chapel of Love in Vegas where we will be married by the finest Elvis reverend Las Vegas has to offer!

Metalboy! I will let you know when the arsenic I've been slipping into my husband's dinner starts to kick in and then we can start making some plans for real ;)

Ah! Sounds like the perfect plot is hatching. I will have Motley Crüe's black G5 ("Dr. Feelgood" cover logo on the wing) I've arranged purchasing from Nikki Sixx at the conclusion of their final tour. Of course, if they keep adding dates and you're ready to go before that, we'll have to think of an alternate form of transportation!
