Monsters of Rock Cruise Presents Bonus Offer

This is good if you want to do both the Monsters of Rock Cruise (East Coast) and the Def Leppard Cruise. I'm not affiliated with either event in any way, but I thought this was worth passing along. Apparently if you book MORC (east) by July 20, you can get 50% off the Def Lep cruise, too. You can click the Facebook embed below for details. Also, click to read the terms

We know most MOR cruisers were gone for the holiday, but for a short time we have a 4th of July special!Tesla the Band...

That's cuz nobody is going!!!

And the reason no one is going is, aside from Kingdom Come and a handful of other bands, the line-up s*cks, especially a*sholes, TeslUGH! as the frickin' "headliner", which is totally laughable since they've been on this thing since it's previous permutation, Shipf*cked!

And even though Def Leppard is almost enough to do their cruise, the others on that aren't very impressive.

All of that means what Kixchix said. No one is biting, no pun intended.

Plus, the L.A. version, The Monsterwood Cruise, has an infinitely better line- up.

The idiot promoters must have been smokin' the tea leaves rather than reading them when studying the demographics of their mailing list as over a third of the cruisers I met on it in years past are from L.A.

They probably figure, hey, why bother flying all the way across the country when they can just drive 20 minutes to The Port of Los Angeles?

Plus, I don't think the promoters factored in that would be passengers are just plain burnt out on TeslUGH!, once again, proving Mediocrity doesn't always win!

I wanted to do the Leps cruise, but I already had a trip bought and paid for that week, so no for me. I will say it is a lot of money to do both of these cruises SO CLOSE together. It's hard for people to get that much time away from work. - Allyson

I hear you Metalboy! and Allyson.

What I wouldn't give to see Kingdom Come live. I wish they would post additional US dates. But a cruise of this sort (or cruises really), with this set of acts, for this price, doesn't inspire me. It sort of feels like Rocklahoma . . . like I should have bit early and experienced something that is slowly being diluted.

Besides, I get to see Tesla this summer with Lep. Whether that is good or bad, not for me to say!

I've been on the Monsters of Rock cruise each year so far, and even with 3 choices next year, I think I am going to sit it out. While I agree with Metalboy that the Monsterwood cruise has a much better lineup (I know you are just saying that becasue of Winery Dogs.....haha) it still lacks a solid headliner. Plus they keep raising the prices every year. When I heard that they were splitting between east and west I had a feeling it would just water down that lineups and that is exactly what has happened. I'm sure it would still be a great time though. Who knows, with Monsterwood still 15 months away I may change my mind.

Good points, NC. If they can get one or two decent headliners by the time Monsterwood sets sail, something I've mentioned earlier, it will bring the experience to an even higher level.

The good news is you've already got Britny Fox and Junkyard to really set Monsterwood apart from the substandard offerings of The Mediocrity of Rock Cruise departing from Miami.
