Black Tide Release Album Teaser

Black Tide will release Chasing Shadows soon. To build excitement for that release, the band put out this trailer. I haven't thought much about Black Tide recently, but when I saw this teaser I was reminded how much I liked them when they hit the scene a few years ago. The band members aren't as young now, so it is time for a more developed sound. I hope this album has legs. We need more "newer" metal bands.

I could never get in to this band, they always came across as a third rate Avenged Sevenfold / Trivium. They had the same guitars, same style of dress, and many of the same elements to their music, just without the undeniably great songs and convincing delivery.

To put it into "glam" context, I thought of them like the Sleez Beez or Kingofthehill of their genre....

Hard to tell from this mashup of clips wether or not I would be sold on any of this new music.

LOL Mike, when I listened to these clips, I thought the exact same thing, "Trying too hard to sound like A7X." Black Tide does have one truly great song though, "Let Me."
