'I Don't Drink Milk... And I Never Will'

Thanks to Finnish milk company Valio for producing a nice tribute to Lemmy Kilmister. Lemmy shot a commercial for the brand just about a month before his death. Instead of releasing the commercial, Valio released the outtake below as a tribute. I love it.

Have to agree, Allyson.

A lovely tribute to, as they say in the closing scroll, "a lovely, exceptional man.'

A perfect epitaph.

First: Would a corporation based in the U.S. have the cajones to put Lemmy in a commercial!!! Let alone pay tribute to him will a comment that is the antithesis of their mission in advertising. Bravo Valio!

Second: The improv captures a bit of Lemmy "gold". Wit, comedy, honesty all in a 15 second matter of fact statement

Third: Lemmy's smile at the end. Awesome, endearing heartbreaking.

Fourth: Thanks Ally for the Lemmy coverage. Some may mumble, "this ain't glam." No but it's rock n roll. That's all Lemmy thinks this is. Rikki Rockett paid respects saying Lemmy was always respectful of Posion and their music. Never did Lemmy knock rock n roll what ever form it took. It had to rock though!!!!

Tribute online is today folks!! Peace

Indeed, Kixchix...

Lemmy was big on both Punk & Glam, having killed two birds with one stone when he played bass on The Damned's cover of "Ball Room Blitz" by Sweet.

I strongly urge you to check it out on YouTube. One of his best bass solos ever!

Both fabulous.

I should have added the translation, which is verbatim what Lemmy says (minus the profanity).

But the phrase afterwards is priceless: "It shows. Drink milk."

Unfortunately, I guess he was right.
