RUSH Officially Ends Touring

Alex Lifeson has confirmed RUSH's retirement from touring. Neil Peart is no longer physically able to handle the rigors of the road. It's another sad reminder that our favorites are rapidly aging - if you have a band on your bucket list - go see them. Don't wait.

With drummer Neil Peart no longer physically able to tour, RUSH have announced their retirement from the road.

Have to admire them even if you aren't a fan of their music. They are certainly one of the more important influences to come out of the Great White North. Luckily, it sounds like they will still be working on music. Sad day for music fans, and patrons of live music in particular.

[And RIP George Martin, the 5th Beatle]

I agree... get out there and see each and every one you are a fan of !! Stop hesitating and thinking "well, i'll just see them next time around" since they didnt' fit into my life schedule.

Good Riddance! I was done with them after "2112"!

Now that he's rid of the chipmunk and Prog drummer, LIFESON can finally put out a REAL Rock & Roll album simply titled "LIFESON", in... You got it!... BIG Bold All Capitalized & Italicized Chrome Lettering!

Although I'm not a huge fan, I do like some of their stuff. It's a shame for music in general that legacy acts sometimes can't do it anymore. Totally agree that if you have the chance to cross a show off your bucket list, now is the time to do it. Def Leppard and Black Sabbath are two I'm seeing this year, wish I could've done it with Rush, just to see his drum solo.

Oh yeah....it is absolutely a good thing that Lifeson is FINALLY able to rid himself of the albatross that is the greatest drummer in the history of rock and of a brilliant bassist and vocalist like Geddy Lee. Good for him....hope he can now aspire to much greater things musically.

Hahaha!!! EXACTLY, JAT!!! Glad you're with me! But if you're willing to bestow such accolades on those Prog overplayers, just imagine how great that makes LIFESON, someone who actually IS brilliant!

Another thing he has going for him is not looking like a total doof the way those other two UNROCK clowns do! Just take a look at the picture. Uh, ya-hut!
