GnR - The Video Evidence

Surprisingly, there aren't a lot of YouTube videos from the Friday night Guns n' Roses show... yet. The tickets said no cameras so I guess this was enforced to an extent. Anyway, here's a really clear clip of "Welcome To The Jungle." Axl sounds great! I'll keep trolling for more videos. Go ahead and share in the comments section if you find something great that we all need to see!

And some mixed clips :

A couple of reports suggest that fans were made to place their phones in magnetic bags upon entry. But, as some of the angles on the video clips suggest, other--more invited--guests in the balcony were allowed a bit more leeway when it came to snapping shots and videos.

Sounds like it was a fun evening for a lot of people. Axl's suspiciously full head of more closely cropped hair (only his hairdresser knows for sure!) and his five or so costume changes, Duff taunt and toned, Slash in full Slash regalia, a female(!) member of the band, Reed on bongos.

There's no doubt this sort of event (further) lit the match that will make this one of the top grossing domestic and international (with The Cult, no less!) tours of the summer. That, and all the endless speculation about who might show up at certain points on the road (Adler after surgery? Izzy after climbing out of Cloverfield Lane?).

All I ask is this (and I am really in no position to ask anything): if any of you go (and I know some of you are going), please give us the details upon your return. While I don't need to see this iteration to feel complete, I suspect (again) that you will all have a heck of a time.

Cheers!

Well having never had the chance to see them pre-1993, I'm definitely going to shell out to see this iteration.

I wouldn't have ever bothered to see AXL solo or Slash with Myles, and if this is the closest it ever gets to being all original, so be it. I've made peace with it.

And I'd pay 300 bucks to see this show, maybe a bit more but not much. Not sure what prices will be but unless they ask 600 bucks like the Stones, the prices won't keep me away. The only time I've regretted the cash spent for a concert, was the last and final time I saw Bon Jovi and almost fell asleep.

Glad AXL dropped some weight. Yes I'm shallow and want my rock stars to look good. Sue me.

This morning, I was asking myself if I lived in L.A., would I have been the first or second in line for this and the answer is, "Yes!"

And I'm no hairdresser, but I could probably pose as one for the CIA and I'm gonna go out on a limb and tell ya that hair is real. Only point blank audience members right up front know for sure.

When I first saw the videos, I immediately thought, their actually planned. Remember, they want something to get out to feed the social media jaugernaut that is today primary way to get the news out.

Let's hold out hope there will be those guest appearances.

p.s. I wonder who that blonde is to the left of Kate Hudson? Not "Tan Mom". The other one.

Check it out:

p.s.s.t. And I agree, wholeheartedly, Rita. I will be seeing them in Orlando, come h*ll or high water. Actually, Orlando IS h*ll but there's no real high water unless you count the puddles they call lakes around here "high water", so it's a lock. Meet you there, if you think that's where we should elope! \m/ ; ) \m/

MB: you are such a suck ass. Just because it may be the only opportunity that you might ever have, doesn't mean you have to go for it.

My bucklister: to shoot up heroin. just to keep Mb and posse at bay.

(BTW, doesn't mean that I will actually shoot up heroin, I can always snort it, if I tried).
.
to sleep, perchance to dream.

fuck you alx, slash and duff.

From what I have seen they all look and sound great. I'm hoping to see them in Seattle on this tour. But...even though I didn't have a chance to see them back from 87-93, it's still a tough decision because like I've said before, it'll cost an arm and a leg for a ticket and a kidney if you want a t shirt and drink. It kills me because this is the closest to the original lineup we've gotten in twenty years and they're all on top of their game. If not, Def Leppard and Black Sabbath will still make a hell of a summer, so life is good.
