Joe Perry Health Update: Now Resting At Home

Aerosmith and Hollywood Vampires guitarist Joe Perry is now apparently resting at home after he collapsed on stage Sunday night. I find it very odd that no reason for the collapse was released. If it was minor, like dehydration, I feel like that would have been announced the next day. The weird silence makes me wonder if something is really wrong with Joe. There was a weird interview with Steven Tyler earlier this week too, where Steven said he's very worried about Joe and he hasn't talked with him and no one will return his calls. I guess we just have to hope for the best. There's no denying that 2016 has been a brutal year for famous musicians.

I discovered Let The music Do The Talking on their Done With Mirrors album way back then!!
Since the album was and usually till this day is trashed by everyone (I remember kinda digging it as a kid). I as Gary said thought LTMDTT totally smoked!!! The vocals, slide guitar pace of the tune. Why I believe that I'm gonna go crank it now.
Get well Joe.
Coolest music board on planet! BBG!
Show that to a kid today, they'd be like "why werent they allowed to record shows back then? It's their right to." Silly kids; don't understand that an artists art. End of the clip showed that Steve & Joe were digging the bootleg!!
Another cool thing about that song is it, as most of you know, originally appeared on Perry's first solo album released in 1980, and then "Aerosmithed" in 1985, when they reformed and put out "Done With Mirrors". A couple of thoughts here... Had Aerosmith succeeded in delivering a record consistent with "Let The Music Do The Talking", that album could have potentially been their "ROCKS II", if you will.
Instead, we got their sellout "Receptionist Rock" (meaning the kind of stuff a receptionist could play low on a boom box underneath her desk back in the day, i.e. "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing") of the latter part of the 80's through most of the 90's. That period really only yielded two tracks worth listening to: "Shut Up And Dance" (cowritten with Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw of Night Ranger) and "Jaded" (cowritten with Marti Fredriksen).
Listen to the Joe Perry version of "Let The Music Do The Talking" as it kicks a*s, as well, though I do prefer the Aerosmith version for all the obvious reasons -- more amped up and Tyler on vocals.
I've always thought opening "Done With Mirrors" with "Let The Music Do The Talking" was not only because it makes a statement -- We're back and the b.s. is behind us, pretty much what seems like Perry was saying with it on his original version -- I'm back and the b.s. is behind me.
But there is another aspect to it's lead off position on "Done With Mirrors". I think that was also Tyler's olive branch to Perry. Perhaps he needs to offer Perry another olive branch by putting the Country crap aside and getting serious about Aerosmith one more time... And by that, I mean, "ROCKS II"!
p.s. I'll go lookin' for the clip but post the link here, if ya can, KixChix! Wanna see it!
As re: the song, I actually prefer Perry's original version. Both are good though. And I found it on some odd collection tape back in the day, one that also featured Bolin's :"Shake the Devil." Go figure?

And believe me, I'm with ya... These guys sold out hard after "Done With Mirrors" but they really do kicka*s live, especially in recent years. I think you caught 'em during a period when they were bored as well. And they very well be bored now, which explains why they're not on the road now while Tyler is busy making a complete jack*ss of himself.
