Joe Perry, Back On The Road

Happy Friday! This is some good news: Joe Perry is headed back out on the road with the Hollywood Vampires tonight! Joe collapsed on stage on July 10. Sources are now saying it was a combination of exhaustion and dehydration that made Joe sick. I really hope he's better.

Viva, Joe Perry! Let's hope we see a big Aerosmith tour at least one more time!

Let's not.

Now c'mon, BK? Have you ever seen 'em live? And, if so, from point blank in front of the stage?

They are, hands down, one of THE Greatest Rock & Roll Bands of All Time and probably The Second Greatest U.S. Rock & Roll Band Ever, The Beach Boys being #1 !

See, Metalboy!? Try as you might, you occasionally have to throw up your hands and ask: "Huh?"

And I hate to, again, ask you to place bands on your scale of musical justice, but I will: where do you rank bands like The Stones, The Who, or Zep? I am just (again, again . . .) curious.

I have seen em live, and they sucked. I also believe they've sucked for quite a while. Going from a rocking hard rock band to an aor cheesefest will do that. No, they mayve not been great seats but I saw all I needed and wanted to!

I'll give you that, BK... All that 80's, 90's and Oughts era Aerosmith was positively SH*TE! Only two really good songs came out of it, as I mentioned before -- "Shut Up And Dance" and "Jaded".

Yet, despite the fact Aerosmith pretty much derailed (no pun intended) after "Draw The Line" and came back with only one great song supplied by Joe Perry ("Let The Music Do The Talking"), they still stand as America's Second Greatest Rock Band!

HIM, here's where I stand with the bands you asked about -- Three of my favorite bands, no doubt...

1) Led Zeppelin
2) The Stones
3) The Who

In that order but reality is, they are all trumped (pardon the expression) by The Jimi Hendrix Experience -- yet is that really a band, as great as Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell were?
