More Info on Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis Reunion
Friday, September 23, 2016 at 12:01AM
Apparently, we're not the only ones excited to see if the chemistry still exists between Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis. Phil just did an interview and said the same thing! I guess the guys have to play and work together for Phil to know if the chemistry still exists. For our sake, I hope it does!

Name someone else compared to these f*cks as good as Guns?! Steve Vai? Satriani? Slash?! Gimme a break! These gunslingers I've numbered ALL run circles around the others I mention in the final analysis and Guns is right up there with the list and blows Vai, etc., away! How? The others in my top 5 I mentioned crank MORE Rock and Roll than the others!
p.s. Oh, Riley!!! Huh-uh-lo-oh, Riley! Are you actually gonna sit this one out?!
For me, no list of 80's top guitarists is complete without Vito Bratta, the most melodic guitarist of the era.
Same with that dude from Roxx Gang. I saw them twice there and the guy just burned. Check out their Hair Metal Classic (You'll see what I mean by the front cover), "Things You've Never Done Before" and you'll hear why I put him on my list.
I saw Dangerous Toys, who, like ZZ Top, hail from Texas, twice on The Monsters of Rock Cruise a few years back and the guy just killed it! There was no one who could shred faster on the cruise and the competition was fierce as Loudness was on it that year, as well. I actually told him as much after the first show.
He immediately gave me a pick unsolicited when I approached him. When I said, "Man, you are Supersonic Futuretronic!", he asked me for the pick back. He then produced the smallest tipped marker I'd ever seen and proceeded to sign it for me right before my eyes and handed it back to me.
Later, when I ran into the bass player, I replayed the encounter to him including my improvised quip. He just laughed and said, "Yeah, that's why I nicknamed him 'Texas Tech'".
True original, distinct sound and a killer tone. Even though I'm not a huge fan Vito is on there, you can't deny how amazing he is.
Yngwie??? Pleassse. Definately amazing, but I don't care how fast you play or how many notes you can hit if there's no feeling to it.
