Metallica’s Global Citizen Performance Will Be Streamed Live

Metallica’s set at the Global Citizen festival will be streamed live. The festival is in New York this Saturday. You can watch the show on MSNBC, Facebook or YouTube. The streaming begins at 3pm EST.

I'm going to a wedding Saturday evening but I should be home in time to catch Metallica's set. I'm looking forward to this for sure. A concert in the comfort of my own home that doesn't cost a dime!

Yup. This is worth the cost. Though I stand by my review of "Hardwired," I remain leery of Metallica live. But, again, it is FREE. So that speaks in its favor. Be interesting to see if they play the aforementioned song . . . as they have been recently.

fuck Metallica, to me, they not deserve..hate-this guys. Only good : Garage inc (hard rock, covers..), and the song the unforgiven II.. the rest to me is crap.

Hey, man, I've been dissin' these guys for decades, particularly permanently statused a*sclown, Ulrich, but now, I say, give 'em a chance, even said a*sclown...

All because of one moment just a few weeks ago with the release of their new song, "Hardwired". It's like another chance as it's the best thing to come out of them in decades!

The timing couldn't be better with this show in Central Park -- maybe they'll even play some or all of their new album there. After all, what have they got to lose? If it's as good as this latest song, it's their chance to prove to everybody they're back.

p.s. I hear you, Steve. "Garage, Inc." contains my favorite song by them, their cover of Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy".

Say what you want about Metallica and I'm a glam fan first and foremost but Metallica made the best 3 first records in metal history. I think their first 3 are better than the first 3 of any band ever.

Very cool that Metallica is back and Hardwired was great!!! Not too big on the new single they just released but I'm hoping the album is killer, just like Death Magnetic.

Totally agree with Garage Inc too, especially Stone Cold Crazy like Metalboy! mentioned, their Misfits covers, and their Mercyful Fate medely...a true masterpiece.
