The Adele Tribute to George Michael Was Everything

Last night, Adele paid tribute to George Michael during the Grammy awards telecast. She sang "Fastlove," in a specially arranged version by Hans Zimmer. The song started rocky and Adele had enough guts to stop and start over. Once she started over the performance was amazing. I think George would have loved it.

Saw the tribute on youtube, I refuse to watch the Grammys. It was a nice tribute to George Michael. It was great to see Kip Winger nominated! I absolutely applaud Joy Villa for being brave and standing up for what she believes in. She knew the liberal left would attack her and she stood proud and looked gorgeous. I promptly purchased her album to show my support!

I don't know what Joy Villa sings but I thought she looked nice. I thought it was cool how she wore the cape and then revealed her Trump dress. But I'm a marketer for a living. It was pretty genius.

To that end, I didn't see anyone criticizing her but again, I don't really know what she sings so I probably wasn't on the right message boards.

I opened a Nordstrom account this weekend to show my support for them! We vote with our wallets in this country more than anything it seems.

Lady Gaga looked like a smoke stack. I think she wore a crop top and tiny shorts as a "screw you" to all the people who said she looked fat (!) during the Super Bowl.

Metallica got screwed with the microphone issue. And then Megadeth won and they played a Metallica song, which is ridiculous.

Then during the Lifetime Achievement section, they showed CeCe Winans instead of Shirley Caesar, who actually won the award! Insanity.

If Ga Ga would've looked any hotter last night ,she would've literally burst into flames 🔥 If that's considered "fat", then I'm considered Jabba The Hut, and that's w/o a crop top and shorts. ( Now THATS an image to scar anyone for life. LMFAO) PS. That stage dive she did was pretty cool too.

I also never heard her music but have been listening today after I downloading her album. She sings beautifully. I cut up my Nordstrom card along with my TJ Maxx and Marshals card. Starbucks is completely off limits to my family! We do what we have to do!

Geez, I can't believe how they screwed up that GaGa / Metallica Duet... The whole thing seemed ill conceived -- from the malfunctioning mic to the choice of the song. And what was with the "Rock of Ages" dancers?

Once again, Metal gets misrepresented in what should have been a slam dunk! It would have been much better had MetalliGa chosen to do "Master of Puppets" or something along those lines more suitable for her voice than "Moth Into Flame". Even "Hardwired" would have sounded better.

Makes you feel like it was more than just sound problems that provoked Hetfield's mic slam at the conclusion of the performance.

p.s. Question: Why would Nordstrom's, Sears, TJ Maxx and Marshall's ever pull the plug on Ivanka's clothing line if it was selling? The fact is, it wasn't. It's business, folks.

Question, when stores decide to not pick up a clothing line, have they made an announcement to the media in the past? Answer NO ! Don't act naive, your smarter then that! Just like Joys music, Ivankas clothing line has exploded online. I never even realized she had a line, but purchased 4 items for Valentines Day! Its all working out beautifully.

@Gary awesome analysis - I agree 100% nothing wrong with Ga Ga Thanks for the great laugh - I have to admit I didn't watch but from what I have read and Allyson's review I didn't miss much.. I felt bad for Dave and what an insult playing Metallica while receiving a Megadeth Grammy but at least they were finally recognized.
