Montebello Rockfest Bands Announced

Here's another festival alert! Montebello Rockfest goes down June 22-25 in Montebello, Quebec, Canada. This is a big one with a lot of famous bands. Headliners include Rammstein, Queens of the Stone Age, Megadeth, Iggy Pop and many more.

Rammstein is a band I've never seen live. When I was in high school, there was a kid who sat behind me in a couple classes who was just obsessed with Rammstein. Like, he wanted to move to Germany to be closer to this band. I think they are a solid metal band for sure but I don't think I'd move around the world for them. Different strokes I guess.

Tickets for the fest are cheap - just $123 bucks. VIP packages also available too.

Not a huge fan of some of these bands but it is definitely cool to see a diverse kind of lineup. I've never been to a festival but hopefully that changes soon. There's so many to choose from and this ones just cool because it's diverse and attracts different people. I've heard the Offspring puts on one helluva fun show.

The only Metal band worth seeing here is Megadeth.

But the real story here is the Punk Rock Festival lurking between all the boring sh*t here, and what a line-up it is:

Iggy Pop, The Dickies (aside from their incredible songs, they do a lot of hilarious high speed covers including "Paranoid" and "Communication Breakdown") , Sham 69, Agent Orange, Jello Biafra, Offspring (though I still say they're Metal dudes in Skater Punk outfits), Discharge, and Down by Law.

Something else that could be worth catching is and the cover band paying tribute to Epitaph Records (Bad Religion's label). This is the first I've personally seen this concept though others here may be familiar with the approach -- Tribute bands devoted to playing the "hits" from all the great bands in a record label's roster. Others that will be featured are Hellcat Records (Rancid's label) and Sub Pop (Nirvana's first label).

Is that a Spinal Tap tribute in the fine print and a Twisted Sister Tribute? There are some pretty cool band names in there but have never really listened to anything other than the Offspring which are metal in my opinion and of course Megadeth. The Guantanamo School of Medicine what a name - if they only knew how bad that place really is - I am not against Guantanamo (don't read into it) I almost spent a year there. But it serves its purpose.

Eagles of Death Metal ~ good to see them touring after that craziness in Paris.

My fave by them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO1Hrnio544

I'm surprised that this is Today's topic, since there are no Glam bands on this bill.....and one of the best Glam/Sleaze bands ever released a new album yesterday.

VAIN-Rolling With The Punches was released yesterday, and it is EXCELLENT!

Dee Snider ? there... that fits the GLAM topic

GNR,
Twisted Sister...yes, Glam.
Dee Snider solo....not really.
The point is, VAIN is way more glam than anything on this bill, and they released an excellent album yesterday, and since this site is Bring Back Glam, I was trying to make sure y'all were aware that some bands are indeed, bringing back glam.

Is it me or does anyone else find it interesting (intriguing) that nikki and ripper are in a cat fight. I think it's amusing. Finally, I'm out of their nonsense.

Really want to check of Eagles of Death Metal after watching the documentary on the Paris tragedy that's on HBO. Sounds like straight forward rock and roll.

Good point, Glamfly! I will check out the new VAIN album after this. Thanks for the tip.

There have been a few other new Sleaze Metal releases of note recently. Have you heard Angels In Vein, LΓΆve RazΓ«r, Confess or Sisters Doll?

Glamfly gets it as opposed to GlamTROLL, Jacka*s T. Rippedone who has made the conscious decision to troll this site in Emojis rather than make any actual effort to communicate intelligently about any of the topics Allyson or HIM may post.

JTR: Get ready for the 🌊 in 2018, you miserable f*ck!

I attended this festival in 2014. Motley Crue's unofficial 1st date of the farewell tour plus Alice In Chains, Venom, Joan Jett, Brand New, Blink 182, Primus, Black Flag, NOFX, Danzig, and Megadeth. In all, saw about 50 bands over 2 days covering just about every genre of rock music. Great time

Ooo, ooo! The wagons are circling! Yee-Haw!!! We'll see in 2018, Boyz! In the meantime, anytime you trolls wanna get back on topic, feel free!

p.s. Okay, Badbreath... and what do you callπŸ˜‚β„οΈπŸ˜‚? That's not namecalling? Besides, it should be nothing new to you, if you look at the track record of YOUR President! Shall we go to the videotape? And, as far as πŸ˜‚β„οΈπŸ˜‚as a description of me, nothing could be further from the truth, as opposed to how I depict your boyfriend, Jerk T. Rippedone, you merry band of C-PACers! Yee-Haw! Now, go git 'er dun!
