Get Well Elton John

Another health scare from a music legend. Elton John is recovering from a bad infection. He was so sick he had to cancel many live shows in Las Vegas.

Apparently, Elton has a rare bacterial infection and was in a really bad way. I wish him well.

Love me some Elton. Even in my heaviest head banging days, he was always in my album rotation. I was fortunate enough to see him about 4 years ago. Guy is hands down the best piano player I've ever heard live. Totally blew me away with his chops, especially when they did an extended version of Bennie And The Jets and did it Honkey Tonk style. He just absolutely tore it up. 😎 Get well soon Rocket Man.

Rim-shot, Badland. And, no, that isn't some sort of joke!

Gary, you and Axl would make quite the team. Amazing how many people, regardless of their particular genres, love them some Elton. I guess good music is good music regardless.

ooopps, I posted this mistakingly on the Styx thread. Ignore that.

Elton and Billy Joel are bucketlisters. fpo me. I've had the chance to see them (much like Lemmy and the Ramones) but for whatever reason, it never materialized. I may have a chance to see BJ in the fall, don't know when/if I'll get to see Elton walk his yellow brick road.

I am, however, seeing a bucketlister this w/e at M3...Dangerous Toys. If any of you regular posters are there, I'll buy you a drink if you introduce yourselves.

And for any of you from my High School who read this blog (and I know some of you do- but don't comment)...I plan to lift a drink in hand and dedicate, "Sportin' a Woody" to those who know who they are.

I'm over it, but trust me...like the knife that cuts you, the wound heals, but that scar, the scar remains.
