Here's a clip from the DVD - and it's pretty darn good: "Mama Weer All Crazee Now." I gotta say, I dig it.

1. They shouldn’t ever use Kevin’s trademark black and white stripe mic stand. Disrespectful.
2. They produced a DVD with crowd shots that depict people watching the band fourth on a bill at a club. The crowd looks like they are on ‘ludes.
3. James had his 15 minutes eons ago. It’s over. I believe
Not only can he nail it all, but he’s actually does a pretty good DuBrow impression. Here’s the thing though, Banali’s Banali. The bass player, whoever the hell he is, is professional. Durbin is doing a helluva DuBrow impression. But that guitarist? Definitely not doing a Cavazo or Rhodes impression, Geezus!
Also, the guitarist is Alex Grossi. IMO, he is the go-to guy on guitar for these bands, the way Jizzy Pearl is to these bands on Vox.
Alex is a great guitarist and one of the nicest "rock stars" I've met. Very gracious, humble, appreciative and will talk with you and answer questions for quite a while, versus simply taking a pic and saying, 'Next!". QR is lucky to have him.
Here is is bio, copied from his webpage. Keven Dubrow has described him as "the most gifted guitar player since Randy Rhoads".
The Bio:
Alex Grossi is the most gifted young guitar player I have heard since the first time I heard Randy Rhoads in 1975″– Kevin Dubrow, QUIET RIOT
ALEX GROSSI has been called one of the hardest working and most sought after rock guitarists in the country. Upon finishing high school in 1996 he immediately left small town Connecticut for the bright lights of Boston and hasn’t looked back since.
In 1999 he inked his first recording deal with ATLANTIC RECORDS with the Boston-based pop rock band ANGRY SALAD. In support of the record the band did over 1000 shows across the country, the band also recorded music for the QUINCY JONES produced movie “The Smokers”, did multiple television appearances and recorded the theme song for the WB NETWORK drama series “DC”.
In 2001 when the AOL/TIME-WARNER merger cost the band their deal, Alex packed up and headed to Hollywood where within weeks was chosen by ELEKTRA RECORDS out of over 75 L.A. area guitarists to be the lead guitarist and musical director for one of their new artists AIMEE ALLEN. The band toured and recorded for the better part of 2002.
In early 2003 Alex joined up with Hollywood rockers BEAUTIFUL CREATURES replacing the recently departed DJ ASHBA. Almost immediately Alex began writing and recording what would become BC’s second record “DEUCE” for JVC RECORDS (Japan) and SPITFIRE/BMG (U.S.). Music from that record would later be used in the FX series “SONS OF ANARCHY” (2008) as well as the WALT DISNEY film “THE PROPOSAL” (2009).
In late 2003 Alex was contacted by QUIET RIOT front man KEVIN DuBROW to participate in the “BAD BOYS OF METAL TOUR” which featured Kevin, as well as JANI LANE of WARRANT and former GUNS N’ ROSES drummer STEVEN ADLER.
“Everyone said I was crazy – I had to learn over 40 songs and play for over 3 hours a night but it was an amazing experience, both musically and personally, as these guys were a big part of my musical upbringing.”
Later that year, the Orange County hardcore band IGNITE recruited Alex for an extensive tour which saw the band covering the U.S, Canada, Europe, South America and Australia, he also contributed guitar the band’s critically-acclaimed 2006 release “Our Darkest Days” on Century Media Records.
“The Ignite gig was a very interesting one, as I had never really listened to (let alone) performed that style of music – The fans are so rabid and intense, it really made me step up my game.”
In 2004, Alex was hand picked by Kevin DuBrow to fill the guitar slot in QUIET RIOT. For the next 3 years Alex toured extensively with the band, playing some of the premier rock festivals of the genre including the 2007 SWEDEN ROCK festival, and a feature performance at the first-annual “ROCKLAHOMA” as well as writing songs that would appear on the bands last studio release with DuBrow, 2006′s “Rehab”.
Alex spent 2008 and 2009 touring and recording with with GN’R alumni STEVEN ADLER and DIZZY REED for their respective solo projects and also participated in the 2009 PRS road show for PAUL REED SMITH guitars. The 20-plus city tour featured Paul himself, along with Nick Cantanese of Black Label Society, Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge and Howard Leese of Heart among many others.
Most recently, Alex has once again joined up the newly reformed QUIET RIOT. The band recently performed to nearly 50,000 fans at the 2011 BANG YOUR HEAD Festival in Germany. In addition to doing sessions for artists all over the world, Alex has also been writing and recording with his new project “HOTEL DIABLO” as well as “Hollywood Scars”, featuring American Idol finalist and current QUIET RIOT vocalist JAMES DURBIN. QUIET RIOT’s new album “Road Rage” in being released worldwide on 8/4/17, and the band continues to tour the world.
“I feel that this is only the beginning – I know the best is yet to come and I am truly thankful to be able to do this for a living
I don’t give a sh*t who the h*ll the guitarist is, he’s lame! Check out Cavazo on the US Festival ‘83 DVD ... What’s his name doesn’t even approximate it. You make me laff, you Yankneck Traitor. Get ready for the second Blue Wave to hit your area in 2020! Yes-haw!
Quiet Riot? Nowadays? Glad they got some gigs. Hope it sells. Not my cup of tea.
You’re watching as*sclown implode more and more every day along with your misguided cause.
Long Live Rock And Roll! And Chuck What’s-His-Name and whoever the hell that so-called guitarist is!
When I first met him, he was diagnosed with ADHD. A few years later, his therapist diagnosed him with ODD (Oppositional Defiant Dx). Now 16yo, on Juvenile Probation, School Expulsion, and a severe history of violent behavior, his Psychiatrist diagnosed him with Conduct Disorder. I know the trajectory that he's on (or could be on). I've been ranting and raving about what I've been seeing for quite some time. Nobody was taking me seriously...now; a few are coming around- especially now that his Psychiatrist chimed in (yes, I'm using the dismissive term "chime", because until those credentials were used, mine were dismissed- oh and trust me, I've been collecting names of those who were pacifying my input).
This adolescent needs "Metal Health" for sure, but he is very resistant. However, he is now Court-Ordered to complete Anger-Management- Thank f*ckin' god! I'm working my best with him, because the last thing I need, is to go to sleep at night...and forget to say my prayers on my knees.
