Details About Motley Crue's New Music

Blabbermouth has some tidbits on one of Motley Crue's new songs. Machine Gun Kelly will appear in one of the tracks. The new music will be part of The Dirt soundtrack, due out March 22 via Netflix.

I hope you enjoy your Friday. I woke up with body aches a sore throat and ear ache. So I hope this work day goes fast for me.

Machine Gun Kelly end up with a lyrical wound of the highest (and offensive) caliber when he danced with Eminem recently. But I liked him in Birdbox. So I will be curious to see how he does in this movie as Lee. I don't see the resemblance beyond the skinny tatted thing. But who knows? None of the primaries look like the band. I have seen some amazing transformations on the screen. I hope to be surprised.

Also not surprised that the boys (and, likely, mainly, Mr. Sixx) are trying to find some contemporary angles to give their Netflix opus some cred amongst the streaming mass of millennials. He does it so well with Sixx:AM. What could go wrong? And, if nothing else, Lee has his foot on the corpse of hip-hop, what with him being such a well-liked DJ and rap historian.

Sounds like the start of a bug, Allyson. I hope you feel better soon and that Friday passed as quickly as possible. Rest up.

“He does it so well with SIXX:AM.”

Where’s BK when I need him?, no pun intended.

p.s. Yes, Al, feel better. FYI, You are more than likely suffering from what I had which wound up laying me out with a fever, sore throat and a nose you could have tapped a spicket to for 5 days. After 3 weeks of varying degrees of suffering it’s evolved into full on bronchitis, which usually happens to me if I so much as catch a cold but that’s due to being a chainsmoker from age 14 to 36. Ironically, I haven’t been sick since 2010! I finally went to the doctor yesterday and prescribed an antibiotic. an inhaler and a steroid to knock it out. Perhaps, this is TMI, but I wanted you to be aware of how vicious this thing can become. I hope your “bug” isn’t like this and it probably won’t be since you never smoked but I wanted you to be aware of it because I’m convinced this is yet another epidemic going unreported these days. Also, let this be a warning to all you smokers out there, even “Juulers”, quit while you’re ahead!

And, as far as “The Dirt” goes, I would love it if it proves me wrong, but I anticipate it being horrible, which actually might mean it’s hilarious, though unintentionally so.

The reason I say this is because they had to augment the soundtrack with new songs as a way to try and get people to watch it.

To me, this wreaks of inauthenticity. If this is supposed to be a biopic what legitimate reason would Crüe have to add new songs to the timeline? To me, this renders the movie an inaccurate portrayal.

On the other hand, Crüe is one THE greatest most iconic American Rock & Roll bands to ever hit the stage. If the new songs are great, who cares if they’re blasphemous good their own legacy.

Needless to say, I am chomping at the Gucci shoe bit to see this movie. Whether it’s good or whether it s*cks, either way, it sure as h*ll will be entertaining to watch for Crüe nuts like us!

“... blasphemous of their own legacy.”

Dangin’ autoincorrect! Or rather, “humanincorrect”, in this case, actually!

Glad to hear you are on the mend, Metalboy! And sorry to hear Allyson has gotten worse (newest post). I also appreciate your PSA regarding smoking, even if I (cough) have yet to follow such sage advice from you and others. I guess I can be proud that I have you beat in the "how long have I smoked?" Olympics. I would go and pick up my award. But I am out of breath!

I agree. It will be entertaining. Why it will be entertaining is open for discussion until it finally comes out.

They've sold over 100 million albums. Some of you that weren't paying attention during their heyday like to act like they're Ratt, Cinderella, or Britny Fox. Sorry you missed it but I'm glad I didn't. Lmao

Finally, Bkallday! You got us. We didn't know they were a great band (even if we mentioned it numerous times). We didn't know they sold a lot of records (even if we did, but didn't mention it, because that seemed obvious given this site and our love of Crue). And you went right to core of the matter by pointing out they were bigger than bands that--wait for it--they were bigger than back in the day.

What's next? You will criticize the same band or a member thereof (say, Sixx) and then act like that is a brave stance . . . but fail to notice that you slag others when they do the same thing?!?! Oh wait. You did that already. Back to the regular program.

You need to send this type of stuff to the NYT or the WSJ. When you get a scoop, you really dig in and give it to us clueless dupes (who agree with you?!?!).
