It's About Time!

Aerosmith will finally get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They deserve this honor and I don't know why it took so long. They are, after all, the best-selling American rock band. Even people that don't know much about rock or music know Aerosmith as they are cultural icons.
Just 64 days until I see them in Las Vegas!

Aren’t you gonna go, Allyson?!
Yet again, music proves different folks can get along on occasion!
Unfortunately, “Draw the Line” began to show the drugs taking their toll. Beyond the title track, “Kings and Queens”, “Milk Cow Blues”, the rest of the album is crap.
Halfway through recording the next album, “A Night In The Ruts”, Joe Perry quit. Who could blame him. The only decent track on the entire album is a cover of “Remember (Walking In The Sand)” by the Shangra-Las. The rest is complete rubbish.
Despite the follow up, “Rock In A Hard Place” missing Perry, the album garnered some critical acclaim, primarily on the merits of “When The Lightning Strikes”, their best since the song, “Draw The Line”.
“Done With Mirrors” should have been huge as the album marked the return of Perry. Alas, it is only the album’s opener, a cover of Joe Perry’s “Let The Music Do The Talking”, their best song since anything off “ROCKS”, showing a return to form with the remaining tracks completely unlistenable.
Everything else since has been absolute “shite” save for two songs, “Shut Up And Dance” and “Jaded”.
Despite several of the subsequent albums showing to be huge sales successes with their new “pop” formula yielding them many, many millions, the next “ROCKS” still alludes them.
That said, Aerosmith are completely unreal performing live and incredibly, still with the original classic line-up, all of whom will be in attendance for their Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
Like I said, I’m looking forward to Tyler’s acceptance speech, as he has often demonstrated quite hilarious speechifying on such occasions.
p.s. And Shawn, you’re right, add “Chip Away The Stone” to their list of great songs. Why they never included that as a studio version on one of their studio albums after “Live Bootleg” will forever be one of life’s great mysteries.
