Think We Will Get New Rolling Stones Music?

The COVID-19 lockdowns continue... things are boring at my house! I did pick up my weekly takeout from my favorite local Mexican place for lunch. In Ohio, we are now allowed to purchase two alcoholic drinks "to go" as well. That is huge because we have very strict "open container" laws. So I did enjoy a margarita with my bean burrito!
Elsewhere around the globe, musicians are doing their collective thing... and Mick Jagger tells us he is rehearsing while in isolation. Do you think he is working on new tunes, too? What if we get a huge influx of new music out of this whole nightmare? What a silver lining that would be, right?!

I only wish, and you can file this in the "sorta' like Aerosmith" category, that the Stones had released something really captivating recently. "Love is Strong" is the last Stones song I sorta' dug . . . and that was in 1994. And, sure, that song is all about the Glimmer Twins. But I have to think Mr. Was had something to do with it too. So why weren't _Bridges to Babylon_ and _A Bigger Bang_ better then? _Blue & Lonesome doesn't really count, as that was a covers' album (and cool enough, given their respectful nods to Dixon, Wolf, Slim, and others).
Not complaining really. Heck, I still like Deep Purple. So I shouldn't be throwing stones, rolling or otherwise. I just wish they were a bit more feisty in their golden years. Maybe they need to start putting brown sugar back in their coffee, decaf or otherwise. It's unrefined, sure. But it suits them.
Now, I am going to go listen to Michael Bolton sing about Jack Sparrow. It is kinda' related.
