One World Together At Home

Instead of another cancellation notice - here is hope! Lady Gaga, Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO) will present One World Together at Home. The historic charity concert will take place on Saturday, April 18. Go to the official website for broadcast partners. I know the show will be on NBC, CBS and ABC. The show starts at 8 p.m. ET.

My random attempt at doing something normal while doing something good: I tend to eat at home a lot. But I have a few go-to restaurants that I love in the town where I live. Sure, I go to some chain places. Still, I prefer local restaurants. And, boy oh boy, are they suffering right now. So tonight I decided to order in from a pizza place that is in my top five of all time (and I have had great pizza all over the world). This place is comfort food for me. You all know the routine these days--cashless payments, delivered to your door without contact, etc. So I called them up and placed my order. The young guy on the other end goes: "You know about our delivery options these days?" I go: "Sure, makes perfect sense." He processes the order and then adds: "You want to leave a tip?" I said: "Sure, please just double my bill. You guys are doing a great job. You need the community's support." There was a pause. Then he said: "Well, um, thank you, Sir. I wasn't expecting that."
My point isn't that I was being kind. My point is that a little kindness can go along way these days, esp. when it comes to the mom and pop places that are still the lifeblood of a lot of towns.
Most generous!
I’ve been an overtipper my whole life but your idea takes it a step further we should all put in practice even after this thing is over as people get reestablished or if they have to start over.
May the Metal Godz be watching over all of us at this time ...
