Brian May Reveals Heart Attack

Here is some scary news. Earlier this month, Queen guitarist Brian May suffered a heart attack and he said he "nearly died." The news broke yesterday and there was an outpouring of support for May. The last thing we need right now is to lose May. A lot of us fear that I suspect because that would be the most 2020 thing ever at this point.

Despite having millions of fans worldwide, May seems honestly stunned and humbled at all the well wishes. He made a little video diary about the messages of support and you can see that below.

May had three stents placed in his heart. The 72 year old is recovering and says he now feels "fine."

Yeah, that's all we need ... a major rock GOD passing away this year. Let's hope we're going to be spared that.

But hey, I'm getting older as well and unfortunately a lot of my musical "heroes" are well into their 50's, 60's, and in some cases 70's (Stones!) so sh*t can happen anytime really.

As a fellow member of the stent club, I can tell you . . . you might not know that you need one--or two, for me; or three, for him--until you really need one. I was just feeling a bit off. But 98% blockage in a major artery is, I guess, something that sneaks up on you. I am thankful that they got me in when they did, because otherwise it would have been "POP" and "thud."

I hope May makes a full recovery. But I can also tell you, the stuff they put you on after you get a stent is awful. So he best avoid gardening for awhile. If he was shredding his keister before this, it might be time to start watching gardening videos on YouTube! You think about activity and you develop a lovely purple bruise that takes days to go away!!!
