The Doobie Brothers Reschedule Tour For Next Summer
I am having issues with the security key on this website and I apologize. It is taking a little longer to fix than I anticipated. Thank you for your patience. Right now, it is slightly quicker to view the site by going to bringbackglam.net.

The Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald was another tour I planned on seeing this summer. I was waiting to buy tickets for this one and I am glad I did not for obvious reasons. The tour is now planned for summer 2021 but some dates have been completely canceled. Ticket refunds are available.
It is May 27 and we are marching right toward June 1 which is supposed to be the day Motley Crue and Def Leppard announce their "plans" for The Stadium Tour. The plans will be mostly rescheduled shows for 2021 I'm sure - but I guess we will wait and see.
The Doobie Brothers regret to announce that their 50th Anniversary Tour has been rescheduled for 2021. This decision was made with the health & safety of fans, crew & local employees in mind. The tour will start Jul 17, 2021 in West Palm Beach & end Oct 23 in New Orleans. pic.twitter.com/H5xVIyxHLg

It's always easier to complain or attack when you aren't involved and don't understand what all goes into setting up events in this scale (cough *Trunk * cough)
Of course it's getting rescheduled, they aren't announcing anything until they have something concrete to announce.
PS - who knew Michael McDonald was back with the Doobies?? ...well I guess anyone who had tix, I just don't get the memos unless it's in hard rock / metal vibe I guess...
That said, Mike, I think that bands like Crue are part of the equation and could be involved in letting fans know something. This isn't being done without their input. Contracts were signed (dealing with what, you are correct, I have no clue). If An Chovi can do it on a smaller scale, so could Crue. Granted, not necessarily saying "It is not happening." But I do think some of this "we are waiting to see . . ." stuff is passing the buck. In this case, I do mean money. And that isn't fair to fans of any band.
That's a great question, GNR. I know, for festivals and such, bands get a guarantee. When things fall through, they keep that. But when it is a branded tour with a major Corp. pushing it, I have no idea. I would love to know too.
But Sixx has also been a bit iffy on all of this (and I will be clear that this is him re-releasing a general PR on his Facebook account that was signed by all the bands): "Our priority during this unprecedented time is to make sure that we are being as thoughtful and responsible as possible in the decisions we are making regarding The Stadium Tour and that we are putting the fans’ health, well being and safety first and foremost. We are currently weighing all options and are awaiting further direction from the powers that be." He said that on May 1. What is wrong with what he said? Nothing, generally. But a band like the Crue isn't hog-tied by 'the powers that be'. I have to assume they are actively involved in this process on some level. And Lee's comments about talking with Sixx suggest that very fact.
Sure, Jett saying she isn't comfortable touring right now is likely to draw snickers from some right now. But you know what? She spoke about her concern for fans, for her band, and others. That means a lot right now. And, Bkallday, that isn't me being some made-up, imaginary, PC snowflake. She stood her ground. She said what she said. Compare what she said to what Sixx said. Yes, Sixx and Co. have more skin in the game. But that goes back to my point: the Crue are involved in deciding when, and if, this tour happens.
And even Michaels, himself no stranger to promotion, has basically said he has no clue and is waiting to see. But only wanted to go out when "we know no one's gonna get sick and we can go out there and bring it 1,000 percent."
Granted, this is a really odd time right now for a lot of people. And it is worse for those lower on down the pole (the crews, the stadium workers, the people who work near stadiums, the fans, etc.). So I guess what I was trying to say is this: a lot of people want this tour, any tour, to happen and some of them could give a squat about the Crue. But it helps when fans see their idols taking the lead. And I think the Crue would look really good right now if they did. Simple.
Again, Bkallday, wasn't trying to start something. But I hope I clarified. And that May 1 post said that they would release new info on June 1. So we will get some news very soon. I just think we could have heard something more sooner. That's all.
Either TM screwed the pooch with the Cincy email, or they're just pushing this announcement out for no reason whatsoever.
And then RAMMSTEIN, my one super small sliver of a ray of light for later this summer postponed their tour yesterday, so summer is officially canceled for me. Urgh.
This will be a different summer, for sure. But I am hopeful for small gatherings with great friends, good food, potent potables, and a never-ending steam of great music emanating from the sound system! I guess this will be the summer of tail-gating, full stop!!! At least it will be cheaper.
