Def Leppard Releases 'London To Vegas' Today

When everything feels hopeless, music usually cheers me up. For the biggest part of my life, I have always turned to Def Leppard to boost my mood when I am feeling blue. Since a lot of things feel and seem impossible right now, I have been listening to more Def Lep than usual lately. Now there is a new offering from the band.

The four CD/Blu-Ray set London to Vegas drops from Def Leppard today. As of the writing of this post, the set is the top seller in music videos on Amazon. Order through my link and support the site. Affiliate link:

Hysteria - one of those songs that isn't quite a ballad, but not a rocker either. Elegant, yet a driving quality to it. Pure poetry to a young lad at the time who was chasing 1/2 of a set of twins. Cue All in the Family "Those were the days..."

As always, Allyson is spot on with the Lep lifting your mood. Side 2 of the Hysteria album is a gem for me.

Wow, including an actual blu ray, instead of just a shitty dvd/laser disc/vhs! Nice touch DL & no Hysteria can’t be topped, neither side can be. Pyromania & Hysteria back to back made them an absolute force to be reckoned with for a very long time.

I like those "not quite ballads, but not all out rockers either" songs.

Hysteria, one of my fav. Def Leppard tunes. "On With the Show" is in that category for me too. Maybe "These Days" as well.

Let me chime in and ask: how many of you like "Gods of War"? I keep hearing it on Hair Nation. And, I have to say, that song has aged well sonically when you hear it on a good system. Sure, the lyrics might get those pro-war people in a bit of tizzy. Then again, I don't think Dick Cheney was playing the album on his Zune while bird hunting!

I remember being a bit on the fence when it came out (even if I loved the sound effects and the spoken work stuff from Thatcher and Reagan). If I am not mistaken, that was the first song on the second side. Funny how your opinion shift when you revisit songs, bands, and albums years later.

Fun fact: Rick Savage and I share a Birthday, Dec.2nd. I also share it with Britney Spears- I know cool right ;)

I have the new "London to vegas" and I'm blown away by Phil Collen's playing!! the man is a mf'n monster!! I knew he was a god but the sound on this new one is very clear and I found myself shaking my head how good he is! Sooo worth the money!

I love Gods of War. But let’s be honest there is no bad song on that album!
