Farewell Bob Kulick

Guitarist Bob Kulick has died. It is not exactly clear the cause of death. His brother, fellow musician Bruce Kulick, announced the news on social media yesterday. Bob was a studio musician for KISS and W.A.S.P. and toured and recorded with Meatloaf, among other acts.

His work with WASP and KISS, among others, was excellent. He will be missed. RIP.

It is a shame that things took such a strange turn with him and his brother in recent years. But Bruce's postings about Bob, before and after his death, were classy and respectful. And the numerous tributes to him in the hours after his death spoke to the type of person Bob was when it came to recording and producing quality music.

Bragging rights: I have an original vinyl autographed copy of Meatloaf Bad Attitude as well as his Midnight at the List and Found and Blind Before I Stop in shadowbox frames in my rock room. I found the albums for $1 each at a flea market years ago and stalked the heck out of Meat Loaf and his band mates to get them signed.

Meat Loaf was one of the coolest, nicest, appreciative rock stars I've met.

My deepest condolences to Bob Luck's family and friends.

Great Story Fletch! Another terrible loss. Hope The brothers mended fences before it was too late.

Thanks Shawn, but that's not much of a story. The good story was what happened at the flea market and how I acquired them, how I literally pushed my then-girlfriend backstage after his show when security wasn't looking and she bumped into a stark naked Meat, and a few hours later, hanging out at Meat Loaf's tour bus talking about with him about his recent appearance on Howard Stern's Channel 9 TV show. Now, that's a story... and the story.

Peace/Rock on
