'No Time For The Summertime Blues'

Lukas Rossi, best known as the winner of the TV show Rockstar: Supernova has a new song. It is called "Summertime." The tune is peppy and catchy. It really does make you feel happy during this weird times. There are a lot of famous cameos in the clip, including Tommy Lee. What do you think?

Need I say more?
To me, this sounds like sub-prime Sublime . . . and that is saying something.
I do give him props for enlisting a veritable who's-who of VH-1 Classic-style celebs. Poor Matt is looking like Uncle Fester. And at least he is keeping it cheerful, as Allyson suggests.
Summertime Girls. Now that’s a song and video for summer! Even though YnT base feels it was jumping the shark.
‘Magic’ By The Cars has been my jam this summer (don’t know why. Blame Covid). Go ahead, bash away. lol Damn. The Cars sound is still so fresh today as it was 35 years ago.
Jaws. Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Poison. DL. Crüe. Now that’s a cure for the Summertime Blues.
Not begrudging the artist or being mean. Charity can be cool. Losing ones self in a song is a great drug. I just am not into the time. It’s cool. I’m old. I don’t like much new music at all. I do try though.
Come back and post again sometime. Peace
Adam, thanks for posting. I mean that. I appreciate people defending artists. A good cause is something that I am all about. I go out of my way on here to applaud artists, esp. those that I don't really like, for doing good work for those who are less fortunate.
But . . . how long have you been reading BBG!? I only ask because you seemed to lash out rather than reading the room. If you are a long-time reader, cool that you finally posted. If you aren't, what was your motivation in posting? I'd love it if you continued posting. And I am not trying to dress you down for defending Lukas. Point in fact, I appreciate you pointing out that he is helping a charity out. The great thing about BBG! is that people give as good as they get. It can get a bit intense at times. But we also defend our POVs. And we occasionally make jokes. Heck, everyone likes a laugh, right?
Adam, calling readers childish as an opening line only gets you so far. So I say this: welcome, and keep adding to the conversation. In fact, I would love a reply so I can get a better sense of where you are coming from. I don't think that is childish. Do you? And the darkness of the internet is a funny thing. I don't know you from Adam either, Adam. So careful not to trip on your own jab. It works both ways. Hope to hear from you soon.
Something? Anything? I think, given your initial post, you were given the green-light to respond and were treated pretty well. What say you? I would hate to think you were just stopping by to make your point and then moving on to the next site that mentioned a band or artist that you liked.
