We Should All Be More Like Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper went viral on Twitter yesterday. As with all the stars we love, my heart skipped a beat. I was worried he was hurt - or worse. Turns out, people were just very happy about a photo of the "dark" rocker feeding kids at a shelter. Obviously Alice has the resources to help those in need, which is wonderful. Here's the thing: the photo is old. But it doesn't matter, because it shows Alice's character. These days, he has a foundation for teens called Solid Rock, meant to enrich the lives of kids through music. I love a heavy metal badass.

And beyond his humanitarian efforts (as if that’s not enough), as many of you may know, he funded the restoration of the HOLLYWOOD sign back in the 70’s when it was in such disrepair and dilapidating to the point of having some of the letters fall apart.

Though there is a new campaign to restore once again, it is still standing, every letter in one piece.
