'Beautiful Girls' -- Steel Panther Cover
Friday, March 12, 2021 at 03:03PM
Steel Panther loves Van Halen. Half the band was in a VH tribute called Atomic Punks years before Steel Panther became a thing. Now the Panther has recorded a great cover of "Beautiful Girls" as a show of respect for Eddie Van Halen.
Want one more? Here's "D.O.A." Enjoy!

Starr should definitely have had his washing machine going. But for different reasons. Doing his best James Bond voice (I am thinking Connery), he could say at the end: "I like my Botox shaken . . . not stirred." Then a sound effect like a zipper being pulled up when he smiles and flashes the devil horns.
I kid. I kid. No shame in wanting to stay young. And SP certainly make people feel young when they play their shows. Others disagree. Fine with that too. But they are great live. A comedy show and a metal clinic all in one place. I just hope they get their crude groove back on their next album. They seem to be resting on their laurels (not to mention their hardys).
Though, Gary’s right (wait, as long as it’s “Funny Gary”), they sure CAN play their backless leather chaps off, a claim to which I can attest, having been forced to see them 4 times!
Cool mock album cover, though ... Sure would make a great T-Shirt!
