The Rolling Stones Announce Tour Dates

More big tour news! The Rolling Stones have rescheduled their tour that was scrapped because of COVID-19. A few dates were dropped and some new ones added. Of course they are stadium dates, so massive crowds and crappy sound and views. I've always wanted to see the Stones live but there are no dates near me and the tickets are expensive (of course) so I'll probably be sitting this one out.

I see the Louisville date is scrapped. Whenever you read “scheduling conflicts” instead read “lower than expected ticket sales”! Too bad though.

Saw the stones in Columbus a few years ago. Great show!!! Should be on anybody’s bucket list. Any day Keith Richards, Willie Nelson and John Williams are still alive is a good day. See em before it’s too late!!!

OK. I’ll pick the low hanging fruit. The “Get The Hell Off My Lawn” tour 2021?

saw the last tour here in dallas (arlington) at cowboys “death star” stadium - 90,000+ people. wasn’t impressed but that is because the venue is awful for concerts. but hey, i saw the stones (well some of them, the drums were set so far back on the stage i couldn’t see them from my angle/height.
for this new tour, they move back to the cotton bowl, a venue older than keith himself, so that’s not a good thing. pass.

I finally saw The Stones on The Voodoo Lounge Tour and I felt like the Sun had already set and that it was already too late in their career to see ‘em.

They shoulda quit when Wyman did or maybe even earlier, like when Richards finally stopped wearing his hair in his classic late 60’s to mid 70’s crow’s nest.

It also seems like when the volume of his hair went down, so did the volume of their guitars.

I could kick myself for not catching them anytime from 1976 all the way back to 1969, though for the latter, I would have only been 9 years old.
