Grammy Awards Postponed

Once again, the Grammy Awards have been postponed because of COVID-19. The awards show didn't happen last year because of the pandemic either. Back then, few folks were vaccinated. This time around, Omicron is basically infecting everyone that goes into public places. The show and awards presentation was scheduled for January 31. The show will go on during a future date this year.

Darn, I am disappointed. I was getting all excited to see the Deftones(!?!?) win in both the best rock and metal categories . . . said no one ever. You know me. I find these sorts of dog-and-pony shows odious.

That said, good on the Grannys for putting health over glory this time. Sure, less severe for most everyone. But why risk it if you don't need to do so? Oh no. I can hear the replies. I'm out!

Right Jack. At some point the madness has to end so we can live our normal Iives. Or we can just keep continuing to cancel shit every time a new variant arrives, which will be endless. Seems to me no one has a solution or plan to get back to normalcy. I frankly don’t gaff who’s in charge, I just want to live a normal fucking life without masks and things constantly being cancelled & influx. Tbh I’m just completely over the whole situation, but all this is just my opinion, which I’m entitled to, no matter which side you’re on.

crued - you are funny. When Chevelle first came out with their blatant Deftones ripoff "Send The Pain Below" that was all I needed to write them off, nice that someone else notices they are still up to their old tricks.

PS - Deftones are great, and I did purchase a CD copy of Ohms, but 2021 was all about Gojira (from the list of nominees, at least).
