New Enuff Z'Nuff Music Is Coming

Enuff Z'Nuff will release Finer Than Sin next month. The album will come out via Frontiers, which we all know is HIM's favorite label. (Yes, I kid!) The first song released from the new album is "Catastrophe."

Chip Z'nuff is both singer and bass player for the band these days. He's also the principal songwriter. I miss Donnie Vie's vocals and songwriting ability, but it is what it is.

I think Chip must have used a 256 track recorder for all those layered (and autotuned) vocals. Good grief.

I appreciated the good-hearted jab, Allyson! Truly.

Everyone knows my beef with Frontiers. They fiddle with bands' music, create supergroups that never tour/no one wanted to see/ hear. I also understand their other purpose: a repository of bands who have no place else to go. On that point alone, I guess they serve some purpose. But, Alessandro Del Vecchio is an annoying interloper with a cheesy sound and an even worse ear when it comes to songs. Maybe a bit more keyboard? Maybe not, Al!!!

Gogmagog, you had me laughing. Yes, the new stuff sounds like overly processed music from a Beatles cover band. And now that Chip is shopping at Morrie's Wig Shop, he has the extra money for tech tricks that he doesn't spend on hair cuts! If only Donnie and his demons hadn't derailed an interesting band that had potential.

Hey, if you liked them then and do so now, so be it. Good on you! Fly low Michelle . . . while my CD player gently weeps.
