Enuff Z'Nuff Announce Part II Of Glam Slam Metal Tour

Starting in July, Enuff Z'Nuff will start part two of their Glam Slam Metal Tour. Part two will also feature The Quireboys and Bad Marriage.

If there were no dates on part one near you, this is another chance. I posted previously about being interested in seeing The Quireboys. I feel like time is running out to see as many bands from the glam heyday as possible.

Enuff Z'Nuff Announces Summer Tour

Enuff Z'Nuff will head out on tour this summer and their support will be The Quireboys and Bad Marriage. The run is called Glam Slam Metal Tour, pt. 2, which I love. I think this would be a fun night.

Also interesting, Enuff Z'Nuff will provide support for a Joe Perry Project show later this month in Illinois. That's kind of a big deal of EZN I think.

New Enuff Z'Nuff Music Is Coming

Enuff Z'Nuff will release Finer Than Sin next month. The album will come out via Frontiers, which we all know is HIM's favorite label. (Yes, I kid!) The first song released from the new album is "Catastrophe."

Chip Z'nuff is both singer and bass player for the band these days. He's also the principal songwriter. I miss Donnie Vie's vocals and songwriting ability, but it is what it is.

November 2021 New Music Playlist

I can't believe it is already December. In some respects, the last year has felt very long and in other ways, it has just flown by. Working mostly at home, each day bleeds into the next and yet the seasons still change, plans come and go and now we are at the holiday season once again.

Looking back on November, it was a pretty good month for heavy music. In this month's new music playlist, there are tracks from Bullet For My Valentine, Enuff Z'Nuff, Deep Purple and L.A. Guns. I didn't throw any songs into the playlist, but The Darkness, Black Label Society and Lordi also released new work. I hope you enjoy the curated songs for November. These are tracks I have been enjoying the past few weeks.

Enuff Z'Nuff Release New Video

Enuff Z'Nuff are promoting their new album Hardrock Nite which is a Beatles cover effort. To celebrate this album, the band just released a video for "Back In the USSR" and that clip is below. It isn't surprising that Enuff Z'Nuff is forging ahead with a Beatles covers album. Chip Z'nuff has been obsessed with the Beatles since... forever. Honestly I'm surprised it took him this long to put something together.

Hardrock Nite comes out December 10 via Frontiers.

Why Didn't Enuff Z'Nuff Get Huge?

I was on the way to physical therapy this morning and clicked around my SiriusXM while driving. I honestly don't listen to Hair Nation that much anymore because it is so repetitive but "New Thing" by Enuff Z'Nuff popped on and I stopped to listen. I love that song - it is just catchy and fun.

While driving I sort of wondered... "Why didn't Enuff Z'Nuff blow up with fame?" The band's self-titled album came out in 1989, which should have been a slam dunk. Sure, videos for "New Thing" and "Fly High Michelle" got heavy enough rotation on MTV but that debut still didn't go platinum or anything like many of their contemporaries.

For whatever reason, Enuff Z'Nuff is one of those criminally underrated acts. People seem to dig the music when it comes on but never really think of them organically. Like, how often do you recall the band being mentioned in "best-of" lists? Or even just being beloved by a close friend? Donnie Vie and Chip Z'Nuff had an amazing chemistry for songwriting. Perhaps the Glam label doomed them. Listening to the catalog, the band is probably more pop than hair metal... I guess? The sound is hard to categorize. EZN was probably marketed all wrong. Folks regarded them as Poison copycats - which is a shame. Also, drummer Vik Foxx looks hot as hell in the video below!
