Motley Crue Releases Official Statement Regarding John 5
Friday, October 28, 2022 at 12:01AM
With the news that Mick Mars has retired from touring, Motley Crue released a statement naming John 5 as the official replacement. John 5 is a beast on the guitar, so no worries there. No doubt the vibe will be different at live shows going forward.

Now they can really go out on top. Again, just giggling.
Finally, a touring band worth the decent ticket prices. I'm stopping. Promise!
Mick, cash those checks, stay healthy, finish your solo album, and make it rain like Bun E. Carlos does!!!
This is actually GOOD news, btw...
@Bkallday - I'm not sure we are talking about the same John 5 based on your statement. Maybe look him up...
I know, Mike. Trust me, I know. That was more for effect than anything else. But, you are right.
Bkallday, there you go again!!! I kid. But, yes, John 5 is quite tight with Sixx . . . so this move makes a lot of sense for the b(r)and. And Zombie and Marilyn and DLR are certainly rock, right? So he has the pedigree, even if you don't like him or any of them (and I even mentioned he is goofy looking, what with those Japanese rain slickers he wears on stage and his grease paint Joker look). I will give him this though: super talented (his "Home Sweet Home" tribute was tasteful), and he wears his thinning hair like a champ (something Sixx, hmm, well, err, doesn't seem to do anymore). I also enjoyed him live the two times I saw him. He seems to genuinely love playing for fans. So, for those that go to see this slag heap of late career mediocrity, that is also a good thing.

And, unlike me, you are both succinct while being dead on. I tend to wander after I bait the hook. You two just cast and go. I should try it!
Gogmagog, the only thing I don't like about that clip (I saw it previously) is that Pearl's voice isn't a good fit for that song, or era, of the band. She has stellar pipes. Just don't dig it. But I bet she could sing the snot out of Corabi-era songs (some of which were playing on Hair Nation this weekend . . . which surprised me).
