Another Tour To Track: Mike Tramp

Mike Tramp was originally scheduled to tour in 2020 and that was obviously canceled due to the pandemic. Now, he has rescheduled his "Songs of White Lion" trek. Also interesting is that guitarist Alex Grossi (Quiet Riot) is Mike's booking agent.

Seems like the tour is coming to America at the end of May. More info when it becomes available.

i’ve seen tramp’s solo show a few times and it’s a lot of fun. and he always came out to hang with fans afterwards. hopefully he’ll play more deep cuts from his white lion days.

I'd go to see this. Just wish dates were announced.

Stu, so you saw him live and acoustic? Or was it different? Just curious, as I can imagine some people thinking they are going to see his version of White Lion and then getting the shock of their lives!

Personally, his solo stuff is hit or miss. But he seems committed. And he also seems to have made amends (at least partially) with Bratta. Which is cool. I like most of his solo acoustic takes on White Lion . . . so long as I remember that he is doing an interpretation of the classics. But, yeah, I wish it was still like it was.

yes, Him, both times i saw him in the last few years it was just him acoustic, but he had recorded tracks to back him up - including occasional drums and guitar solos. a bit strange, but not distracting. probably half white lion songs, half solo tunes and a few from his other bands.

Thanks for the reply, Stu. I'd like to see him perform at some point. I think he still has one of those voices that stands out, even if I don't care for much of his solo stuff.
