I Always Feared This

Ok so maybe it is stupid, but I always worried about being smacked in the head by a microphone from Sebastian Bach or Axl Rose. They are both known to wildly whip around their mics and it always made me nervous to be too close to them while they perform.

Case in point: an Australian woman alleges that Rose smacked her upside the head with his mic after performing "Paradise City." Guns n' Roses are in Australia and they played Adelaide Tuesday when the alleged incident happened.

Apparently the woman got hit in the nose and was bloodied. The photos look bad!

It certainly does look bad! Crikey!

Then again, when you get in the ring (or sit thereabouts), things like this will happen. I mean, do you sit front row at a Gallagher show and not expect a bit of melon? Oh wait.

I am actually more scared by Sab. That dude does/did like to swing that mic like it had punched his grandma. Then again, I have also seen some tame stuff from him. I recall seeing him with SR back in the day in SF. It was quite the show. And, yes, he did fling that mic around quite a bit. But his main 'raging' act? He had someone set up red Solo cups, filled with water, that he would kick into the audience at specific moments in the show (several times, in fact). I mean, red Solo cups?!?!? Filled with water? Edgy.

i have actually been smacked in the head by a mic stand like that. ‘94 in austin, at aerosmith. i wormed my way up to the front and was pinned against the stage by the crowd - my feet were not touching the ground. steven tyler went to twirl around and he grabbed the mic and it smacked me in the side of the head. hurt like hell but didn’t cut me or cause any dramage. great show even with a headache.
side note, i brought a rain coat for gallagher - and so glad i did because the album he signed for me before the show would’ve been ruined.

Stu, you had me laughing! I must admit, I went to a couple of Gallagher's shows, way back when. Never had the nerve to get the front row seats or wear the raincoats. Between that and your run-in with Aerosmith, you are better man than I!!!
