More Bands Added To Download Festival

Take a moment and share a positive thought for Ukraine today. What is happening there is just appalling - Vladimir Putin has no shame, but regular old Russians are going to be punished right along with him for his military actions. It's all such a shame.

Meanwhile, in the glam world, it seems like every day we get a new festival announcement or lineup update. Today, news that Download has added 14 more bands, including Steel Panther headlining the second stage. Download is set for June 10-12 at Donnington Park in the UK. That's just 105 days from now if you are counting down and yes, tickets are still available.

Biffy Clyro sounds like something you would find on the Scottish Urban Dictionary.

I know I am old(er), but doesn't the drop-off on some of these days seem a bit, well, obvious? And, in other cases, it seems as if the second stage acts should be moved up (Megadeth?) or down to, well, a non-existent stage?

I mean, by the time you get to the Dogtooth Stage, you wonder what Sepultura is thinking. My guess? "Oh, that's right. Cookie Monster isn't in the band anymore. So here we sit."

I'd prefer to go to the Monsters of Rock festival. Oh wait.

It kills me that this lineup is competition.
