Respect and Solidarity

A lot of little actions like the one below adds pressure to the overall cause against Russian aggression. Do what you can, how you can. Respect. 🇺🇦🇺🇦

Small gestures still mean something.

I am hard-pressed to figure out what, if anything, Putin will gain by all of this. When Viktor Orbán starts getting nervous, well, that should send a signal loud and clear. Orbán is the fine fellow who started a campaign to rejuvenate the image of Admiral Horthy (check him out . . . he's classy too) in Hungary.

As noted sociologist William Bailey once said (after screech-paraphrasing a homeless man): "What's so civil 'bout war anyway?"

What next? A group named after a famously anti-Semitic composer helping out Mr. Botox? Oh wait.

Meh. There are people in these countries who are NOT aggressors. They are people. I feel for them as I do Ukrainians. However, no Pink Floyd after ‘87? I think they’ll get by with Comfortably Numb & Us and Them lol

Agreed, Kixchix. The average citizen suffers the consequences. Like I said, it is a small gesture. But it means something.

It is also wrapped up in the fact that you are dealing with a band that involves some contentious parties, all of which have stakes in their catalog. What Gilmour can and can't retract has a lot to do with other, interested, members of the corporation. So, you are also right. Everyone can still get welcomed to the machine, even if they can't learn to fly. I don't think that is irony. But it sure feels (comfortably) like it.
