Farewell Randy Rand

This is sad news that I didn't see until this morning. Randy Rand, founding bass player for Autograph, has passed. No cause of death has been released but the statement from Autograph below does note the news was "unexpected." "Turn Up The Radio" remains one of my favorite songs!

Tis' true. They were a catchy band that had a moment, largely thanks to Plunkett's knack for writing hooky songs.

The reunion idea was great. Even Plunkett was okay with it. Then Richards died in that horrible way. Then Lynch left. Rand was really trying to carry the torch. And it was, respectfully, a small torch. But he was doing it. As the bits and pieces fall off the yesteryear wagon, there are those who are/were still trying to relive those glory days. Much respect.

RIP Randy Rand. Your band made a small mark. But it made a mark. My condolences to your family, friends, and fans.
