Stephen Pearcy Shills For Dollar Loan Center
Monday, July 25, 2022 at 04:34PM
It's time for another hair metal icon to shill for Dollar Loan Center. This time, RATT's Stephen Pearcy gets the star treatment while he applies for a loan. Shocker, he's approved and the bankers are all really attractive women! Sebastian Bach and Vince Neil have also appeared in such commercials. This just makes me shake my head. Still, a job is a job and I'm sure these commercials paid well... or at least I hope they did.

$1,000 @ $5.50 interest per day. So basically a line of credit, right ? Instead of the interest rate, they give you well it's only $5.50 a day ?!?! But in reality the interest rate is starting at about 190% up to almost 400% depending how long it takes you to pay this back.
Predatory lending at it's finest. And basically unregulated.
But, as Kevon helpfully points out, he still has to eat. Which points to the fact that a host of these legends from back in the day needs a lot more money to fund their lives, esp. if they want to live at .25 (or lower) of what they did in their glory years. Solo albums, one-off stadium tours, and mid-tier casino tours aren't going to pay for age-related surgeries, age-related nips and tucks, and whatever vices they might have that lead to age-related issues.
And predatory lending is, as unethical as it might be, a superb pitch to many who might have enjoyed Ratt back in the day. Not all of us have fancy jobs, cool tents down by the river, or discretionary income with which to buy the latest suspect offering from our once bullet-proof idols.
So, when you see Pearcy shilling loans, you think: "Hmm. I bought Norton Antivirus because of Dokken. I bought a Honda mini-van because of Halford, after I bought a Kia because of Motley Crue. Heck, this might be the right way for me to smooth over the rough tiides until I hit pay-dirt at the local casino! Besides, I need money to buy that chili dog that Cinderella was talking about."
I give him credit (with high interest) though: his "yeah" sounds super-powerful. And he has the horn thing down to a science. Neil, Sab, and Pearcy? Dollar Loan Center sure loves metal! And they are there for you too, if you need some help.
Nobody rides for free. Nobody. I heard someone say that once.
And Kevon, you nailed it.
Ol’ Leather Face, as HIM has called him, may need the cash but what a damn shame, shame, shame (Sorry, kidz - blame HIM!) Pearcy had to resort to this.
The predatory loan racket is horrible and it’s terrible he has to resort to being a part of it!
