Get Well Phil Mogg!

Phil Mogg, 74-year-old frontman of UFO suffered a heart attack recently. This was announced on social media earlier today. The band's upcoming October dates are canceled. It isn't clear how long the band will be off the road, but Mogg had surgery as a result of the attack and he will be down for sometime while he rehabs and recovers. I wish him well.

Agreed, London. And, given that we both have stents, I feel like he and I should chat at some point! I kid.

Always liked (never loved) UFO. And Mogg seems like he could be a bit, well, mercurial. But there is no denying that he steered that saucer through some amazing highs and admitted lows. Having Vinnie "Mind's Eye" Moore in recent years has been a coup. Sad, too, all the recent losses of members from the past and more recent years: Way, Chapman, Raymond,

And this is the band's last go around the marble, besides. Seems like a good thing that he is putting UFO to rest . . . even if he has to rest up before he puts the rest up.
