It Is 2023 And Steelheart Has A New Music Video

Steelheart, which is really a Miljenko Matijevic solo project these days, just released a video for the song "Good 2B Alive." The track is on the album SteelHeart30 - to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary. That album is available as a limited edition vinyl, too. With only 500 copies, I'm tempted but man - it's a hundred bucks. I've got so many albums on my Discogs want list already... and there is only so much money to go around!

I find it hard to listen to this sort of dreck. It sounds like someone with a reed-thin voice was singing over cast-off Soundgarden leftovers. And I say that as someone who has seen him/them live and know the power he has/had in his voice, while also generally loving some of his/their songs from back in the day.

But paying $100 to buy this?!?! Nope. Not even an urge. And then I clicked the link and read this: "A culmination of brand new recordings and newly re-mixed and re-mastered tracks." Even less of an urge.

I wish him/them well. And I would go see him/them live again (if the rest of the roster was right and proper).
