Happy Friday The 13th! Alice Cooper Announces Tour!

It's Friday the 13th! What better way to celebrate than for Alice Cooper to announce a tour? The master of macabre will do a short run called the "Too Close For Comfort" tour on select dates in April and May. Over the summer, Alice Cooper will join Def Leppard and Motley Crue on some of "The World Tour" dates in Europe and South America.

I hear you, Kikchix. Amazing he righted the ship and is still among us.

But, relevant? Not so sure. Relevant to us? Sure. But, in the larger musical landscape, he is not. Granted, he still brings it musically and with his charities and with the musicians he spotlights in his band. But he brings nostalgia, pure and simple (even his new releases hearken back to other times). And there is nothing wrong with that.

Sadly, this looks like a short-run of dates. But, knowing Alice, he will be back on the road for a longer tour later in the summer. The guy doesn't stop moving!

Since the man is a scratch golfer who likes to play a few rounds while touring, he’s just waiting for the greenskeepers to ready all the golf courses before announcing more dates, HIM!

And if you’ll note, this tour isn’t even starting until Spring to be sure he’s got nice weather to play in each town on the tour. Plus, you can bet each of those towns don’t just have decent venues who can accommodate his elaborate shows, but also golf courses worth playing.

p.s. Cooper is still relevant, HIM! … For Chrissakes, the man is an icon! … Geeezus, what is it with you?!!!

I think you need to re-read my comments. I did _say_ he _is_ relevant, to some. And never even implied he wasn't an icon. But I will stand by my conviction that AC is not Akon. Hell, the two look completely different.

So, I guess I will turn that back on you and ask: what is it with you (and I hope you are doing well)?!?! I left out the 'geeezus' because there are kids here!
