Tesla Announces 'Full Throttle Live' Album

Tesla will release Full Throttle Live over the summer. The album was recorded at the Full Throttle Saloon at last summer's Sturgis Rally. As part of the announcement, Tesla also debuted a lyric video for the song "Time To Rock" which is part of the upcoming new album.

As someone who loves the first three Tesla records, this is very difficult for me to say. Jeff Keith's voice is shot, and, in the same way I did with the last couple Rush records and tours, I don't want my lasting memory of the band to be hearing him sound the way he does now. So I will pass on any new Tesla music and tours. In that "Modern Day Cowboy" clip, when Keith strains to try and hit the higher notes, he sounds like Eric Cartman.

Very glad i got to see them back in the day, on their Psychotic Supper tour. Great classic hard rock band with an excellent catalog,meaning all of their stuff except for the last embarrassment they dropped.

Though the lyrics are somewhat inane, I kinda like the song.

You guys make a good point, though, guys about Keith’s vocals.

Imagine how this woulda sounded on this if they’d recorded it back in the day.

Still, he doesn’t sound that bad.
