L.A. Guns, 'Diamonds' -- New Video

L.A. Guns have another single and video off their upcoming album Black Diamonds. The video for the track "Diamonds" was released yesterday. Yes, this is a power ballad! In 2023!

Check out the awesome guitar solo at 3:30! If I didn't know it, I would guess it was Tracii Guns playing and it sounds straight out of 1989 versus today. Good stuff.

very cool song, strong late ‘80s vibe.
but most of the new phil/tracii material is good. just not sure it fits in the band’s live show - and that’s disappointing.

After the lo-fi, Zeppelin-Esque “You Betray” which concerned a lot of people on the overall quality of this upcoming album, they put out the stomping “Shattered Glass”, and now this complex ballad “Diamonds”:.. this album is stacking up to be a winner. I’m stoked!

These guys have been quite consistent since Tracii / Phil regrouped in 2016, a new album every 2 years and still killing it live. I think this new material sits well in their live set and hope to catch them on this run; I last saw them in Dec 2019 and completely missed the Checkered Past tour.

To me this proves these guys aren’t solely in it for the money … I mean, of course they gotta make money, but they’re also in it for the art!
