Captain's Log: Behind The Scenes With Def Leppard 'Drastic Symphonies' Release Week

This is a fun video featuring Def Leppard chronicling the release week of their new album Drastic Symphonies and the release of their book, Definitely: The Official Story of Def Leppard. (The book is already out in the U.K. and comes to the U.S. next month).

Spend about seven minutes watching the band chronicle their rehearsals for their big BBC concert to promote Drastic Symphonies, plus their press for the new book and hear their nightmares before launching a big tour. More than 40 years on they all still get panicked the night before the first tour stop! Oh and the accents. So many delicious accents!

Not so sure I’m really into this.

Considering there’s only ONE decent song on “Diamond Star Halos” and that’s “Gimme A Kiss”, Def Leppard need to quit fooling around with orchestral rehashing and get on with making the next great “Pyromania”!

Allyson, I am curious: what does an accent taste like? I guess it doesn't matter if it is delicious! I kid. And I know you are excited about this release, even if I think it is naff (could you hear my accent on that one?!?!).

On a more serious note, and referencing something I made mention of previously, are they going to release the concert as a live disc, perhaps even as a video, as well? I would actually be more interested to see that (if I don't catch the BBC show when it airs).

On a non-topical note, I hope everyone is having a good Memorial Day weekend. Have fun. Stay safe. And honor those who are far more commendable than myself. What I do for a living? A trifle. What our military personnel do? Beyond amazing, and appreciated.
