Alice Cooper, 'White Line Frankenstein'

Alice Cooper has a new song and video out today. It is called "White Line Frankenstein." The song is on the upcoming album Road due next month. Alice also announced some fall tour dates this morning. The man has endless energy, I swear!

First off, we are all better for having AC still in the mix. That's obvious.

And I might go see him in Reno. Why? Well, it's AC. Haven't seen him in a few years. And because Vegas is just a bit too bougie for me. Actually, that isn't true. Fremont Street is a great place to watch the world go by. The Strip? Dinner and shows. That's all.

This song is interesting to me. It sounds, to my dumb ears, like a mash-up of his early stuff and his 80s/90s stuff. As I have said before, I am partial to his 70s stuff. His 80s/90s rebirth was great, in spots. I mean, hey, he was still alive! But I didn't/don't gravitate to those songs. And, again, to me, this song has a bit more of a nostalgic sound to the music and a bit more of that dumb stuff (no offense, I am sure "Feed My Frankenstein" is someone's wedding march) in the lyrics.

So I guess he is threading several needles. And I have noticed that he has been doing that as of late. Which, to my mind, is a good thing. Perhaps AC is getting a bit nostalgic for the old days. Perhaps it is just easier for him, at 75 beautiful years of age(!), to talk-sing a bit more and dime-rhyme-sign-mine his lyrics. Who knows? Who cares. Like I said, AC still rocks amongst us. And he continues to show others (you know who you are) how to live life, while giving the fans what they want. Good enough for me.

what him said.
it’s catchy, has some really cool guitar parts, and will go over live extremely well. but like the last song, kinda fluff. not much meat to it. i miss his social statement tunes.
but as long as the coop is out there doing, i’ll be there to listen and watch.
