'Victorious' - Nita Strauss Featuring Dorothy

I was driving to work this morning and happened to catch the song "Victorious" by Nita Strauss featuring Dorothy. The track grabbed me as I was already a big Dorothy fan. The song is on Nita's new album The Call Of The Void that came out earlier this month. I just haven't had time to listen to the entire album yet and somehow missed this track.

The track is catchy and I think you will enjoy it like I do!

great song, dorothy's voice works so well here. i just wonder why they couldn’t fit the bassist in the ring?

Sti (and I hope that clears up, as I know how much I rely on my eyesight), that is an easy one: the bassist was already in the ring! Strauss played bass on the track as well. But some CGI of her with her and Dorothy (and your little dog too!!!) would have been kinda' neat.

I am on the fence about this song. Love seeing some great female rockers do their thing (would love not to even have to say 'female', but well . . .). It just sounds over-processed to me. And I realize that is my issue with this particular style of newer metal. Just saying. And the lyrics are, well, hmm. They are of that sorta' 'self-help', 'you can do it' (no Schneider jokes!) type that always makes me cringe. And, trust me, a lot of metal songs have lyrics that make me cringe. In fact, this song would sit comfortably next to "Don't Give Up," the only dud on a near-perfect White Lion album.

Again, those criticisms are not criticisms, per se. They are just my issues.I am glad to see her doing well, musically and emotionally, these days. I hope this album does well. And Alice was, yet again, smart to choose her for his band. The guy has a way of mentoring talent and giving fledgling artists a boost.
