Dorothy, 'The Devil I Know'

New music Saturday!

I've been a big fan of Dorothy for a hot minute now. A lot of her tracks get a regular rotation on my running and work playlists. On Halloween, she released a new song called "The Devil I Know." I expect this track to get heavy rotation on the Sirius Octane channel very soon.

"The Devil I Know" especially reminds me a lot of Halestorm and I think you'll like it as much as I do. The track will be included on Dorothy's upcoming album, but no title or release date have been announced yet.

'Victorious' - Nita Strauss Featuring Dorothy

I was driving to work this morning and happened to catch the song "Victorious" by Nita Strauss featuring Dorothy. The track grabbed me as I was already a big Dorothy fan. The song is on Nita's new album The Call Of The Void that came out earlier this month. I just haven't had time to listen to the entire album yet and somehow missed this track.

The track is catchy and I think you will enjoy it like I do!

New Music Playlist - April 2022

It's hard to believe, but it is the last day of April. We are about to roll over into May and run headfirst into the summer concert season, pool weather and my favorite time of the year.

Just a few days ago, Dorothy released a new album called Gifts From The Holy Ghost. It is definitely worth your time and attention and is featured as the new music playlist for April 2022.

'Rest In Peace' - A Metal Saturday Discovery

Today, Eric and I went to Cincinnati to check out the new Hard Rock Cafe inside the Hard Rock casino. I was actually impressed with the memorabilia on offer in the casino and restaurant. A Porsche owned by Eddie Van Halen was a big artifact along with the guitars and stage costumes from bands we love. Plus lots of items from Bootsy Collins, a Cincinnati native.

Music was blasting in the Cafe as it does. A particular song and video caught my eye: "Rest In Peace" from Dorothy. The band has been around since 2014, but "Rest In Peace" is a new song that came out at the end of January. An acoustic version of the track came out a couple weeks ago. I like the heaviness of the song, mixed with the blues feel. The song caught Eric's attention too and I quickly added the track to my Amazon Music account. "Rest In Peace" will be on a forthcoming album - I am really looking forward to hearing the other tracks.
