New Music Playlist - April 2022
Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 03:25PM
It's hard to believe, but it is the last day of April. We are about to roll over into May and run headfirst into the summer concert season, pool weather and my favorite time of the year.
Just a few days ago, Dorothy released a new album called Gifts From The Holy Ghost. It is definitely worth your time and attention and is featured as the new music playlist for April 2022.

That said, I am sad. I think all of you went to the beach this past week and didn't invite me. It has been crickets on this site. Bummer. Can you at least bring me back (not glam) some salt water taffy? I'd like that.
heres my e-mail to prove I'm serious: gdunn47@yahoo.com my name is Grant
It would be my pleasure to send you a "care package" for all the great posts and banter between us :D

also, Allyson can vouch for me..although it's been a few years.. we met in line on the "motley cruise
I sure hope that trip is awesome. I can't say I can beat that trip. But I have a week-long beach house rented for me and my family on the Oregon Coast in July. Oceanfront. Hot tub. Gonna be great.
And, Crued, you just reminded me (yet again) why I love this place so damn much: lots of caring people here, sharing a love of music, and a couple of jabs and jokes. Appreciate you!
and yes I saw what you did there .. wish I had a Nickle for every time I heard that! :D I know your vacation is in July, but I picture a fire pit and the fam just sitting around having a great time. maybe s'mores listening to the waves.
I wade into the water and let it wash over me (even if the OR coastal water is damn cold no matter what the temp is). Given my level of ineptitude, 'water sports' is roughly translates into 'broken ankle'. So I settle for a few awkward games of 'toss the Nerf football' with my nephews. That suffices. In other water situations, closer to where my family actually lives, I sit on my brother's lovely pontoon boat and watch the water go by!
But you go the other parts mostly right. Some tubbing time. And, given that OR is still a blessed place where you can have fires on the beach, 'smores for the little ones, stiffer drinks for the adults, a smoke or two for me. and that lovely sound of the waves doing what they do. Oh, and great dinners featuring oysters, crabs, and lots of other wonderful food. I might even try, yet again, to launch a few lanterns. There is a reason why they are illegal. But, when they work they are a wonder to watch!
As it stands, sounds like two great trips. Again, thanks for that initial reply. Really made my day. I mentioned it to a friend. He responded: "What sort of site is this?!?!?" I said: "A good one. Lots of great talk, some quibbles, and those occasional moments that remind you why you post in the first place." He nodded, even if I am sure he doesn't quite understand.
i gotta question.. say you're waiting to go into a concert... are you waiting in line OR on-line?
one more question...
you mentioned "smoke or two" ... I hope you watch this before you do! *wink* i don't smoke but a friend told me about it*wink*. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXtumnTN6zg
I am the sort of person who waits in line, though I often get to go to concerts where my friends purchased our tickets in advance online. Does that answer work?
Sadly, my smoking these days involves just plain old filthy cigarettes. In my yoot, I enjoyed a toke or two (or more). Just don't like it anymore. To each their own. But I have a lot of friends who should watch that incredibly topical, factual, and shocking PSA to which you provided a link. And, alas, I also don't care too much for Jazz. I will, however, admit to using a good friends CBD oil on nights when I have trouble sleeping. Say that a few times really quick and then think of Twiki. Deep, deep, and dated joke. RIP Mel Blanc.
I will also add that I think that RM is one of the greatest unintentionally funny things ever created, esp. once you strip out some of the more obvious and disturbing subtext . . . which, unfortunately, had a really horrible impact on a lot of people's lives and on a lot of laws that are still on the books today.
