22 Semis For Upcoming Aerosmith Tour!

Aerosmith's farewell tour starts in just a few days. The band posted a little behind-the-scenes info yesterday to social media.

Details: this will be the band's biggest tour production ever. In fact, 22 semis will carry the load of rigging points, lights, and heaps of equipment. I can't wait to see the videos pop up online of the first shows. Especially since my tour stop isn't until January!

. . . and to carry the IV-drips, Naloxone, handlers, hangers-on, and so on. But not to carry Kramer's sticks. Oh well, some of them are back in the (padded) saddle again/one last time.

You wanted the best? You got the . . . final tours of several bands that are several years past when they should have dropped the curtain?!?!

I look forward to this tour only so as to say goodbye . . . from a good distance. You overcame several near implosions. You found a way--a la Alice Cooper--to stay relevant by sliding into a groove that fit the larger audiences.

But you overstayed your welcome and any kind-hearted fan, of any era, should be happy (even if there are tear to shed) to see you exit the stage. There is nothing left to prove or disprove. And you have nothing left to offer. So leave us to our memories, whatever album to which those might be stickily affixed!

When pump refers to a device you need to use (for your heart, or your what-have-you), and not to a tongue-in-cheek thing that might happen in an elevator while you are falling in love (which is hard on your ears these days), it . . . is . . . time . . . to . . . go.

Tower (not tour): Aerosmith is cleared for approach. Lock that hangar door when they arrive. And thank them for their service.
