Same Name, Different Song - You Choose!

Quick! Choose which song you like better: Kix "Sex" or Nickelback, "S.E.X." I love 'em both because each is unique and catchy as all get out. I always find it interesting when bands record songs of the same name...but the lyrics are completely different. I should make this "Same Name, Different Song" business a regular series here at BBG! Anyway, which do you like better and why: Kix or Nickelback?

Nickelback's has a heavier feel to it but still they don't do it for me. Reminds me too much of something in your mouth and that song is annoying.

I filled two hour long podcasts playing "Same name, different song" - Eat the Rich by Motorhead & Aerosmith, Mary Jane by Megadeth & Love/Hate, Downtown by Warrior Soul & The Hangmen etc.

Look, I love Aerosmith's "Nobody's Fault", but really? Better than Zep's "Nobody's Fault But Mine"? Zep by a nose, IMHO. Good thing there's no real answer as the song titles are not identical.

Speaking of Aerosmith. They also do a killer version of "Rattlesnake Shake". Check out the 10:37 version from '73 on YouTube.

Hey Metalboy, Yes Aerosmith do a GREAT version of Rattlesnake Shake but do yourself a favor and check out (if you haven't already) Peter Green's version from Live In Boston Vol. 1. (or Vol. 2 for that matter) All 24:39 minutes of it! It will seriously kick your butt! Such a great groove and so raw sounding. Awesome blues rock. And while your at it, on the same album check out the 12:56 minute version of The Green Manalishi that Priest covered in the 70's. It's just as good!
