Let It Rawk To Debut In January
I just received this press release and I knew you'd all love it. I bolded a section you'll be really interested in - and let me know if you buy tickets!
The Vegas strip had nothing on the Sunset Strip when it came to rock ‘n’ roll, and a new multi-media show is bringing that experience to the stage in a special sneak preview. LET IT RAWK will debut in the Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 18 at 9pm PST.
LET IT RAWK is a loud, colorful, energetic and interactive experience of the hair metal era on LA’s Sunset Strip. The showroom and stage will be infused with the sights and energy of a legendary rock club. Performed by guys who were there, shaping the scene, the show’s playlist includes the greatest hits from the ‘80s and early ‘90s. From Warrant to Motley Crue the best anthems will be performed in all the glory of the day. And hits from the LET IT RAWK band’s careers are highlights.
The LET IT RAWK band is the real deal. It’s fronted by Black N' Blue and ex-Warrant vocalist Jaime St. James. Guitarist Oz Fox is in the platinum-selling Christian glam rock band, Stryper. Dokken’s Sean McNabb has played bass for other Kings of The Sunset Strip including Great White and Quiet Riot. Drummer Brent Fitz from Slash And The Conspirators will be slamming the skins. Brent has also played for Vince Neil and Alice Cooper. The band will also feature floating members, such as Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister and Bullet Boys original drummer Jimmy D’Anda. The anchor of the band is LET IT RAWK’s creator and producer, Stacey Blades.
Stacey’s ten years with L.A. Guns cemented him as a must-watch guitar player, and his final record with the band, HOLLYWOOD FOREVER, earned him critical acclaim for his exceptional fretwork. He left the band last year to pursue his other projects, including LET IT RAWK. "I have been diligently working on this project since last March, and am super stoked to be sharing the stage with such awesome guys and talented musicians. The show will be playing a few times a month here in Vegas and then be doing casino shows nationally, LET IT RAWK! See you out there!"
LET IT RAWK debuts in the Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station and Casino, 4949 North Rancho Drive, Las Vegas, on Saturday, January 18 at 9pm PST. General admission tickets are $21. VIP meet-and-greet upgrades will be available soon. Tickets available now.

The term you guys really don't like me using is just a way to put 'em under one roof in my mind, mainly as a collector. Not only have I seen these bands, mainly back in the day, I have all their Vinyl, Picture Sleeve 45's, CD's, CD Singles, Vintage T-Shirts and other memorabilia! I love the music passionately. Maybe a way an analogy for my use of the term is Journey.
Journey was once thought of as "Cheese", at least in the circles I ran in (Zeppelin, Crüe, Sex Pistols, Ramones kinda people). Over time, they are now thought of more affectionately, as the music is now heard with the flattering light of nostalgia and history. Dunno, you guys might hate 'em, but now I gotta admit, I kinda like 'em.
They are still cheese but now it's not Kraft American Singles. Maybe we can think about 'em as a finely aged unpasteurized Brie. Look, sorry to offend, just realize I love the bands and just happen to use the term in a positive nostalgic kind of way but also, from a purely collector's point of view, whenever I punch in that term on Ebay, I get GOLD!
And Doug, quite honestly, I don't think Jack meant offense. He's saying he believes using the term "Hair Metal", in his mind, is as bad as using those racists term. Perhaps that's overstating it a tad, however. These bands, especially in L.A., all had the same horrible stylist, who gave 'em the spandex and had 'em use the same handful of hairstylists, which generated the term. SOME of us look back at this style through the prism of history fondly.
However, the prism of history does not allow us to EVER look back fondly at the use of those racial terms and the struggles of the people who had to endure them. They are so much more horrible than "Hair Metal", which is utterly harmless by comparison. So, Doug, forgive Jack and keep on attacking me, if you like, but just realize where I'm coming from. Google "Nitro, the band" and click on Images to see their iconic band photo. THAT is just plain Bada*s! with a capital "B". I think they were going for The Guinness Book of World Records. It also, just so happens the guitarist is one of THE greatest shredders ever!
We're cool, it's all good.
It just didn't come across as very friendly the way you posted it. It's a touchy subject for me. That's why I listen to metal instead of rap like the typical black guy. I can't stand how pretty much every rapper says the N word a million times, thinking if they say it enough that it's going to somehow magically become a positive word.
Oddly enough though, 80's rap turned me on to hard rock/metal. I always loved Run D.M.C and Beastie Boys. My favorite songs of theirs were the ones with the rock guitar added to them. So I started getting in to bands like Aerosmith and Motley Crue because of them.
P.S HAIR METAL is slang for men who love to give/receive oral sex!!!
LONG LIVE ORAL SEX(HAIR)METAL!!!
Hair metal boys love to suck off guys, hair metal rules. I love sucking off guys while listening to Britny Fox and Kix. Hair metal makes me want to kiss other guys. Hair metal is for gay guys. Only straight guys use the term glam metal. Frankly you will never hear me utter the words glam metal. I for one love having sex with men so it will forever be hair metal to me.
LONG LIVE HAIR METAL!
